I called After Hours Plumbing and Pump Service on Friday night around 9:00m. They fixed the problem Saturday morning by 11:00am and charged a very reasonable fee. The quality of the work is excellent. They responded very quickly. They arrived on time for the appointment that was scheduled. They are very professional. I will do business with them again if the need arises.

I can't say enough good things about these guys. I had a broken water pipe under my house on a Saturday morning after the coldest night of the year. Very few plumbers have hours on Saturday except for emergency services, which tend to cost an arm and a leg. I called him in the morning and he was understandably very busy, but managed to fit me in at around 7:00 that evening. He repaired the problem quickly, gave me an estimate on another plumbing issue, and was gracious enough to spend the time discussing well pumps and water quality problems. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

We have an Apollo water heater that also heats the condo. This special water heater has several extra fittings so the hot water can circulate to the HVAC unit which in turns heats the condo. It developed a leak so we filed a claim with our home warranty program who sent out another plumbing company. We were not happy with our out of pocket charges not covered under the warranty so I called After Hours Plumbing for an estimate. He was on time for our initial meeting. I discussed with Doug the 11 upgrades another company put in their quote. He stated to me 4 of those charges were not needed per code. (I also received a quote from another plumber and they also said the same thing). Doug was the last of my three quotes and actually gave me his quote before he left. Yes, an on the spot quote (after he called his supplier for availability of a water heater) and not I'll have to get back to you. I was looking at three quotes: $2,330, $1,700 & $1,152. So he was $1,178 and $548 lower than the first bids I received. I hired him on the spot. The morning of the installation, again Doug was on time. I watched the work being performed, asked questions along the way and received outstanding service and a very nice looking installation. Cleaned up after the work was completed. I really can't say enough about the total service we received from After Hours Plumbing. Outstanding company and an equally outstanding owner.

On a Saturday morning all of a sudden I had no water. Checked all the usual suspects, filter, breaker, etc. Called After Hours and spoke with Doug directly. He talked me through the pertinent questions and determined he needed to come out. He said 4:00-5:00 and was there by 4:15. He did some electrical tests and told me the pump was shot. So I gave him the OK and he hauled it up, about 180 feet, and checked it. Sure enough it was shot. He then proceeded to work in to the evening and dark to get a new one installed (1/2HP, 10GPM, a bit faster rate that I had). I'm writing this 5 days later and the water situation is great. Doug was really cool, personable and professional.

Really happy to find After Hours plumbing. Doug was totally professional, competent, informative, and courteous. So was Bonnie, who scheduled my appointment and explained (clearly) how their company works, what to expect, pricing, etc. She answered all my questions and I could tell I'd like this company. Really a good experience. I thought my toilet's wax seal was leaking because I couldn't find a leak on the toilet itself. Doug checked the crawlspace for evidence of a wax seal leak and found nothing. He was honest, told me the seal wasn't the problem, and then found the leak on the toilet itself. He explained what needed to be replaced, and what was optional (but would probably be a good idea to replace at this time on this toilet). I chose to replace what he suggested. He also cleaned a clogged drain that has plagued me for the year of being in this house. He checked the plumbing of the pipe in the crawlspace to ensure the plumbing was correct and to code. All this was done within an hour, so the labor charge was his first hour rate of $80. Parts were $25. I think it's possible to find a lower hourly rate (maybe) but I like the fact that he's available after hours and weekends -- and I wanted to establish service with someone who would not surprise me on the weekend. With After Hours I know exactly what to expect in terms of price. And now I know what to expect in terms of honesty and competence. To me this was worth paying his rate. Very nice guy, great service, honest.

After wasting two trips, $500 and finally another 3.5 hours one afternoon with another plumbing service, I called After Hours. It was Thursday evening around 1900, and Doug's wife took the call. She offered to have Doug come that night after his current service call. I had been out of water for 5 days already by then so I told her another day wouldn't hurt. Doug was at my house the next morning (Friday) at 0900, as I had specified. Within 90 minutes I had a new well pump, and of course, water! Doug was really easy to interact with -- he had me following him around asking a thousand questions after I'd wasted so much time and money with the other company. He answered them all, allowing me to slow him down taking pictures and making notes. It is important to know everything you can about your well, and really the only time you can get this first hand data is when there is a breakdown. Doug answered all my questions with a smile. He said it was my well, property and money -- he minded not at all to answer my questions and have me trailing him like a puppy. I gave Doug a "B" on price only because the other quote I got was a few hundred dollars less, but Doug came when he said he would, called on his way, and gave me the gift of water and armed me with knowledge in 90 minutes. I'd rather pay for what I get, and get what I pay for -- I feel Doug delivers on both fronts.

Doug came the day after I called. He was extremely polite and explained exactly what needed to be done. He installed the disposal, cleaned the drain, gave clear directions on how to better care for the new disposal.

Following a power failure, our water pump failed to come back on. Doug Jones came out at short notice (within a couple of hours), and didn't charge extra for a holiday weekend. The lady who took my call was very courteous and efficient, and Doug was also. He arrived on time, and fixed our problem right then. After resetting the pump, he replaced the pressure gauge, which was frozen. He then showed me how to reset the pump myself in future, then (patiently and in detail) answered all of my questions on related issues regarding our water heater, water well, and water pressure. He charged $10 for the part, and $70 for labor, and didn't try to sell me anything; he told me everything was working well otherwise, and didn't need to be replaced until something went. At my request, he did a free assessment of our water quality, and provided an estimate for a water softener system, but did not try to sell it to me. I highly recommend him as efficient, knowledgeable, professional, and honest. I'll be calling him again next time I have a problem.

We found After Hours on Angie's list but they came out in response to a home warranty claim. Two gentleman came to the house to inspect the water pressure tank at the house and quickly determined that it was the well pump that was not operational. After removing the covering and housing of the well pump machinery from the top of the well, we could clearly see the well was full. The pump was 16 years old and I knew it would expire in the next couple years. They pulled it out and then spent about 40 minutes on the phone speaking with various home warranty operators and supervisors to get the full approval to install a brand new high-end pump which would have cost us $1100. They then sanitized the lines that had been exposed and replaced the pump and fittings. They cleaned up all the debris when they were finished. They were very professional and cordial the whole time. I enjoyed hanging out with the guys and learning more about the pumps and the system while they worked. I would certainly call them first if I had any pump or indoor plumbing problems.

We came home about 7 pm and had water in the basement and called this plumbing service to come fix it. We thought maybe it was the toliet but he showed us where a water pipe was leaking. He repaired the pipe and did not try to sell us on anything else. He did not charge us any off hours fee which we thought was great. I would highly recomend him. He had changed a hot water tank for our neighbor is how we found out about him.

I had water leaking from my well and no idea how to deal with it. I didn't know if it was a big problem, if I could drink the water, or how expensive the fix would be. I called After Hours Plumbing and Doug came out that day, fixed the (minor) problem within two hours, and charged an extremely reasonable rate. He gave me a time frame when he would show up, called to let me know he was on his way, and came on time. He was very professional and patiently answered all of my questions. I would use him again and am recommending him to friends.

Doug Jones arrived on time, did the work quickly and gave us a fair price. Had to install a new pump and then found out the wiring was 20 years old. So wiring was reworked, new pump in and water back on! All done quickly, efficiently and cost effective compared to other quotes. Doug has done additional work for us in regards to installing a reverse osmosis water filtration system (whole house) and we plan to hire him to run new water lines to our barn. Always courteous and professional and price is always the best.

He arrived within the given service window and was very thorough and informative. He gave me lots of great tips and did not push me to replace anything unnecessarily. He's one of the few service professionals you can really trust. He will not overcharge you or tell you you need the most expensive replacments on the market, etc. I asked him dozens of questions and he was fantastic. I would highly recommend his service to anyone. When i do need to replace the heater or pump, he will be the one I trust to do it professionally and ethically. He's one of the few good ones!

Stated a specific day he would show up to do the agreed upon work and had us do some repairs on the replacement of plywood. Called the day he was to start the job and said he was too busy to even start our work. The floor we fixed had to be cut open for the next plumber in the same place we had repaired at his recommendation.
