After Hours Plumbing and Pump Service

Once I purchased the 2 hours of plumbing service, I received a number to call and set up an appointment. I called immediately, because I had been tortured for over a month and through the holidays with a kinked water hose, (leaving me with little water pressure) , and a big bucket under my sink . (to catch leaking water from my cracked garbage disposal). I spoke with a very friendly lady by the name of Danielle. She looked at the books, saw that she had a cancellation, and was able to schedule me for the very next day. A +++++++++ Matt the plumbing professional was punctual, and even gave us a courtesy call 20 minutes before arriving. My current situation......... BIG SMILE FROM EAR TO EAR!!!! My water pressure is back, and I can remove the bucket out from underneath my sink! Thank you Danielle for your quick response, and thank you Nick for your humor!!!! We will refer our friends to your company, and if I ever find myself in need of plumbing services again, " After Hours Plumbing " will be getting a call. Sincerely, Tracy Anderson

It turned out that the sump pump did not need to be repaired. There was something that was blocking the float so it wasn't coming on. Nick unblocked it, we used a hose from the yard to fill it up high enough to test to make sure it was working. While it was filling, he told me how to flush out my gas water heater (which was nearby, I'd been wanting to know how to do it, it's getting kind of old). He warned me that if it's old, the sediment may actually be fililng holes and that if I clean it out at this point that it may start leaking so I may just leave well-enough alone after all. The toilet replacement did't go so well, although it wasn't their fault. The one I was replacing is the most-used toilet in the house and was installed by the previous owners over 16 years ago. It had apparently been secured to the floor with something that made it very difficult to remove. They didn't have any type of cutting tool with them to try to cut around the base to cut the seal so they had to reschedule to come back, with the possibility of having to use a sledgehammer to break the old toilet apart to remove it. Luckily it didn't come to that; the cutting tool did work and they replaced it and cleaned everything up very well. Yea! Very pleased with the work done, would definitely use them again.

They did not have the time to perform the service

They did what they said, promptly and professionally. I did have to repair an indoor wall at one spigot because it had no indoor access.

Paid for an hour of plumbing service and Nick came by to give me a free estimate and then scheduled a day to fix it. He came out and spent the hour and replaced the complete drain from the wall to the P trap. Very professional and friendly... highly recommended.

The professionalism wasn’t up to par. The gentleman came and my husband was there and he uses our plumber to try to stop the sink, which does not work. He states in order for this to work he had to use his personal machinery and it was going to be an extra cost to use that. That was not in the fine print.

We knew we had a leak in our upstairs bathroom due to a water stain on the first floor ceiling. Nick at After Hours was able to quickly find the problem. He had to track down a hard to find replacement part but Jessica called multiple times to let us know the status. Once the part arrived, Nick came to do the install and luckily, he had ordered two of the replacement part as the first one was defective. These guys think of everything and their customer service is outstanding! This was not the first time, and it will not be the last time that we'll call After Hours Plumbing if we need a plumber.

They were very courteous and scheduled the appointment right away. I am still waiting for my next water bill to confirm the fix worked.

Scheduled a visit for a quote and was advised which coupon to use. Estimate was for 2 hours of work. When he got here at the appointed time on Friday, the job was a bit more difficult than estimated, but they honored the estimate and did not charge any extra. Very friendly, qualified and efficient. Would definitely recommend and will use again in the future if needed.

I decided I just needed a repair instead of a replacement, so I requested a refund.

Everything was fine, it turns out that my wife and I had a miscommunication about moving forward with the Big Deal, and that only came to light after I had initial contact with the company to get some additional information before setting up an appointment and then discussed with my wife.

After Hours was very timely in responding to my message to schedule my service. The technician arrived when promised and was very professional and friendly during the installation. During installation, it was discovered that the toilet I purchased was damaged prior to purchase and was not usable. I told the technician that the store where I bought it was only a couple miles from my home and he was willing to wait while I took the toilet back and brought back a replacement. I did not expect that he would be willing to do so, but he did. I returned with the new toilet and the technician completed the installation, cleaned up after the job and left. I was very pleased with the service provided. I would definitely use After Hours again!!!

When our gas water heater would not turn on, we thought something was wrong with the pilot light. We looked on" the list" to find a plumber who would come out on a Saturday. After Hours Plumbing had good reviews so we called. He came out within a few hours, replaced a part and it's been great since! Great service! I would highly recommend this company!!!

Doug changed the water filter again and told me I had a heavy minerals in my well water and told me how it could be corrected at no charge!

It's just him and his partner. They did do a third visit to hook up my washer and didn't charge me for the visit. The professionalism stands out to me. They are very prompt and punctual. I do like the response when I call; they either answer on the spot or get back to me immediately. They are easy to deal with.

Doug and his crew member were prompt and professional, and their estimate came in lowest of the other four estimates we had received. The installation of the water heater was completed in an afternoon and they hauled away our old one. Doug came back a day or so later to install the whole house water filter and he also offered to fix our kitchen sink drain for free. He was so nice and easy to work with and we will definitely contact him again when we are in need of plumbing services.

Provider was first contacted when we ran out of hot water. He came on a Sunday morning. We feared our water heater was broken, but he said the heating element was broken and replaced it. No extra charge for weekends, and came out quickly. All cost $110.00. Second time was after bad weather. Our septic was backed up but we didn't know if it was a toilet/plumbing issue. He said it was a septic problem (which it was, and it was promptly fixed by someone else) and he didn't charge at all for his time. Very responsive, nice guy.

After Hours Plumbing (AHP) corrected a backup in our main line March 28th which caused an overflow. The issue reoccurred on April the 21st, because of a misplaced overflow flap which caused the issue to reoccur the first time (according to the second plumber). I am not a plumber. I know very little about plumbing, but my Home Owner Association sent out a second plumber on the suggestion by AHP that the blockage was between our home and the city. That second plumber cleared out a "cleanout" under the home, which had a misplaced flap causing the issue to reoccur (according to the second plumber). Here are my issues: >AHP cleared out my line, but did not look at a "cleanout" under the home, which had a misplaced flap causing the issue to reoccur (according to the second plumber). >AHP suggested that they did not check the crawl space cleanout because I didn't tell them about it (Again, I am not a plumber, and don't understand how my plumbing works, which is why I paid a plumber to come out). >The plumber who did come out and resolve my issue DID check the crawlspace, without my suggestion to do so. They found a misplaced backflow prevention flap which was causing reoccurring backups. Additionally, I emailed AHP after the initial visit, and never received a response to my inquiry, and all subsequent emails bounced. The plumber who did come out suggested that he thought the fee charged by AHP was high for what they did. The second plumbing company also guaranteed their work for a specific time period after clearing the line (something AHP did not do). My impression was that the second plumber was able to resolve the complication which caused the backup, and that AHP seemed to have an expectation that I should have pointed them in the right direction to resolve the backup. Again, I'm not a plumber, which is why I pay someone else to know about these things. tldr: After Hours Plumbing did not check the crawl space under our home for a "cleanout". The second plumber immediately checked the crawl space, and found the "cleanout" which was the culprit, due to an incorrectly placed backflow prevention flap.

They were wonderful. He set up his business that he and me would be outside normal work hours because he is sort of promised to his company that you should not have been at work to have things fixed at your house, so he will come when you are available and work after hours and there is no additional charge for that. He was very friendly and explained everything and I felt like that the cost for that was reasonable. I also referred them to my mom as she had an emergency.

Installation was done quickly and water pressure immediately improved.

We discovered the alarm on our lift pump flashing Saturday night. After calls to other plumbers, we found "After Hours Plumbing & Pump Service". Owner Doug Jones called us back right away on Saturday night & arrived promptly on Sunday morning. I'm talking about Super Bowl Sunday too. He found and fixed the problem very quickly & gave us honest answers to all our questions. He did the work for a very reasonable price without charging extra for a Sunday morning service call. Other plumbers quoted us at least twice as much. Great local guy who started his own business. No nonsense. They also offer a very reasonable maintenance plan if you're interested. We definitely recommend him!

I called Doug Saturday morning and he came out the same afternoon. He figured out why the circuit breaker for the well pump had tripped (wires at the well head had lost their insulation and had arced), made the needed repair, and gave us some good advice and information, all in about 90 minutes. He was personable & professional.

Provider was contacted through American Home Service an insurance company.. Provider arrived on time. Reported that the temperature was set too high and replaced the defective valve. HOWEVER The next morning we discovered that there was no hot water. We called back in and were told to lit the pilot light. That did not work (since we had had meetings to attend to, we did not try to light the pilot lite until later that evening), we called immediately, no one answered (the words "After Hours" in the nave does not mean anything), we left a message, (voice recorder was not working well). We called the next morning (today) we had to call several times, finally they called back and told us that the technicians had left everything as they found it after replacing the pressure valve, AND THUS THE PILOT LIGHT MUST BE ON AND IN ANY CASE IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM, BECAUSE THE PILOT LIGHT MUST BE ON (BECAUSE THE TECHNICIANS DID NOT TURN IT OFF). Against such twisted logic and bad attitude we, as customers, have to give up and through the insurance company will contact another plumbing company.

After Hours did indeed come after hours to assess the situation. They also found a minor problem inside and fixed that for no charge during the initial visit. They had to trench the line, a really big job, a really messy job given all of the mud from the leak. The job required more work than they had anticipated but they stuck to their initial quote. They somehow managed to avoid damaging any of the many plants on that side of the yard and left the yard in great shape. I highly recommend After Hours.
