He was excellent. He cut down two humongous trees and I didn’t know how he managed to do it by himself. He took it all away which was awesome. He also cut all the trunks to ground level. He was very punctual. He was here exactly when he said he was going to be here. He did the job in the exact amount of time that he sid he would do it in spite of the weather. His professionalism was excellent.
Description of Work: Hedgecock Tree Svc cut down and removed six trees for us.

David and his crew showed up on time, were very courteous, and did the job faster than he estimated. We have used this company 1 or 2 other times in the past few years.
Description of Work: Trimmed a long row of trees/bushes and removed all debris. Also, cleaned up an overgrown “natural” area of saplings and vines.

Showed up in a beat up car with his wife and she sat in it the entire time he was there doing the estimate, not very professionally dressed. Understood the scope of the work well and was very responsive in getting an estimate to me and following up. Just wasn't willing to pay the high price.
Description of Work: I received an estimate that was grossly overpriced and had heard that this company gives estimates based on the "area" they are in. Given the fact that I was in a more "affluent" area, I guess the price was more. This may not be true, but I got the same service, for over 50% less and was very satisfied with another company.

Hi, My name is David Hedgecock of Hedgecock Tree Service. I am responding to a negative review that was posted on Angie's List. It reads quote: "I received an estimate that was grossly overpriced and had heard that this company gives estimates based on the "area" they are in. Well, in response to the review, I have to admit that I was taken aback by the comments stated by the author of the review. And though I am aware of who she is, I will not be vindictive as much as to even reveal her identity, so I will now refer to her as Mrs Doe. Mrs Doe is down here from New York and Mr doe is from Hickory NC. I know this because I am very attentive to what people tell me during an interview.\ I am very familiar with Mrs Doe's neighborhood because I have regular customers in her neighborhood who have been very pleased with my company- the quality of work we do-and the cost for having the work done. Mrs Doe, in her comments seem to indicate that what she is really upset about is the price of my quote, and how I arrived at the figure for the work that she asked me about doing. In response to that I'd like to say that when I am doing a quote for anyone it has absolutely nothing to do with where a client lives or how wealthy they may or may not be. If I quoted prices higher for those who I thought had more money, then Mrs Doe would not qualify for a higher price on my observation of her home. I have over the years built a very good amount of clientelle, and it hasn't been by being unprofessional in the work being provided to my customers or the rapport I hope to establish with my customers. I always feel honored to be called on, whether it is for wealthy or not so wealthy or repeat or first time customers. When doing a quote for Mrs Doe, she showed and pointed out to me many things to consider doing for her, some of the things were things she said might get done by the city of High Point for free, because Mr Doe worked for the city of High Point and he had connections. Other things that I quoted on were things that were not done by the tree service that she did hire. I have an employee that is female who does many things for me as an employee, one of which is to drive me to do quotes for potential clients: Mrs Doe assumed that my driver was my wife, but in doing so Mrs Doe is experiencing error. My driver is Mrs Barnes and Mrs Barnes is not paid to get out of the car while I am quoting work, that is my job. Nor is Mrs Barnes asked to wear a pantsuit to vistitations, it is not a social visit. Mrs Doe added that I arrived in a beat up car, I don't guess she noticed that it is an economy car that had been recently painted. Hedgecock Tree Service maintains an A+ with the Better Business Bureau and is always happy to present references when requested. It is very unfortunate that I should have to respond to such negative comments made by Mrs Doe. I only hope that in the future she will do a little more research before posting such an ugly review of other companies who provides services to the public. David V Hedgeock Hedgecock Tree Service
