+ -1 moreThe problem I had was price gouging. The problem Guilford Pools had was insufficient profit for a small pool in the busy season. Some examples of the exorbitant prices Guilford charges vs other places in the same town: Polaris Cleaner $1275 vs $569.....Nature 2 System Chlorinator $1125 vs $371. Solar Blanket $175 vs $65.....Safety Cover $1325 vs $780. I told Guilford Pools I would take care of installing those items myself. They also will write a contract only for the pool. They have subcontractors for concrete work, dirt removal, and electrical work and you must pay them separately; their estimate for these subs was between $3000 and $4000.
Description of Work: Salesman visited twice. Owner visited once. Contract was signed for a 14X28 foot swimming pool. Three days later Guilford Pools backed out of the deal.
