Description of Work: Andy came out and gave me an estimate on removing 9 or 10 mid-size trees, including one that was leaning dangerously towards my house. I went with him because he was cheaper than the other estimates and he really seemed to know what he was doing. Andy and his crew showed up early in the morning and worked very hard. He did some extra work that I requested and didn't charge for it. We thought the work would take all day but they were finished by 12:30. Andy came back the next day to grind the stumps and did an excellent job. I have recommended him to my co-worker and my sisters. I will definitely be using him again.

Description of Work: Andy and his crew were some of the most professional and cost effective we have ever experienced. His goal was to complete our project within the specified time frame and he and his crew absolutely met that goal and went above and beyond our expectations. We had 11 trees removed from our property, additionally stumps ground. Andy continued to communicate with us with regards to the necessary disposal of the trees and additionally respected our needs with regards to our future and ongoing renovation projects. They worked through extremely HOT conditions and even continued to work when rain began....they worked through the rain, completing our project as requested and cleaned all debris left behind. He was absolutely professional and knowledgable about the services offered and even took the time to make suggestions with regard to future projects necessary for our renovation. I would highly recommend Andy and Cut Rite Tree Service above all others. We will absolutely call him back again should the need arise. T and L Turner/Greensboro NC

+ -1 moreAndy called to come out and give an estimate at our convenience. He spent time walking around the property with me to identify our needs and my requests. He was clearly knowledgable about types of trees, different speeds of tree growth depending on type, and answered all of my questions respectfully. Andy and his crew (2 additional men) arrived punctually at 7:30am. We walked around again to confirm the requested job specifications, then they went right to work. I had to leave for work myself later that morning, and they were completed with the job by the time my husband got home in the early afternoon. We sent a check in the mail after the job was completed, for the same price on the estimate. Many thanks for prompt job.
Description of Work: We had large tree limbs removed that were bowing over the roof, limbs trimmed away from the house (that were a source of ants coming onto the home), one dead tree removed, and pruning of about 8 more trees in our yard. Work was completed 8 days after the free estimate (which was a few weeks sooner than the proposed work date compared to our other estimates). Andy discussed the plan to be somewhat less aggressive than other companies had estimated, in order to preserve our privacy, which also resulted in a much more affordable job. So although it may be fewer years between now and the next tree-trimming, the price makes it more affordable to do more than once per decade.

+ 0 moreI placed a call for an estimate to have three stumps ground and was pleasantly surprised when I was told that he could come out within the hour to give me an estimate. He arrived shortly and gave me a fair price and said that since he was already there and had the equipment with him that he could take care of it immediately. He is very professional, knowledgable, and does quality work. I also talked with him about possibly putting mulch in my yard and told him how much my current yard guy priced the job at which is outrageous!! He said that he could do the job for probably half that price which is in line with what I had paid years ago. I believe he is fair and honest.

+ -1 moreThere was mess left by another tree service. My yard was full of large limbs and the work had not been completed on two trees. After three weeks of dealing unsuccessfully with the other tree service, I contacted Cut Rite. He showed up the evening I called, said he could complete the work the next day and provided what I considered to be a reasonable estimate. When I got home from work the next day the tree work was done and the yard was immaculate.
Description of Work: Clean up a mess left by another tree service, finish the work on two trees.

He and his crew were professional and courteous. They worked safely, efficiently, quickly and cleaned up the yard well after the trees were taken down. We would have them come back!

+ -1 moreMr Cunningham met me at my mother-in-laws and gave me the quote and I was supposed to get another estimate but Mr Cunningham was so courteous and said he could get started right away. My mother-in-law, who is 83, could not believe how fast they worked and how good the yard looked after they were finished. I will definitely recommend Mr Cunningham to anyone that needs tree service. I want to also thank Angie's List for being so thorough.
Description of Work: I just joined Angie's list within the last month and needed their help sooner than I thought I would. After a storm came through on Monday night, my mother-in-law's neighbor's tree uprooted and fell across her fence and came to rest in her back yard. The fence was damaged and the back yard was a mess. I looked on Angie's list and found Cut-Right and called for a estimate. They returned my call within a matter of minutes and set up an appointment to come out and look at the tree. They came out this morning and gave me a great estimate to get rid of the tree and clean up after it.

The tree removal began at 8:30 in the morning and they were done by 4:30, which was remarkable, considering the sizes of the trees that they were working on. They came back to grind the stumps a day later. There were no issues of any sort, and they were the most professional, courteous group we've had doing work for us. Andy even made sure to tell me about a flowerpot in the neighbor's yard that had been damaged when they were removing a limb - he gave me a card to pass along to our neighbor, and said that he's replace the pot or reimburse them for it. When they came back to grind the stumps, he had a replacement pot on the truck, took it to the neighbor's yard, and replanted the flowers in the new pot. Overall, I would strongly encourage anyone needing tree service to give Andy a call - he's a true professional in every sense of the word. We will definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Andy and his crew removed 6 trees from our front and back yards, and pruned another tree in the front yard. One very large oak tree in the back was fairly close to the house, with one dead trunk. Four other smaller trees were removed elsewhere in the back yard, and a large maple was removed in the front yard. All of the stumps were ground, as well as two additional stumps from trees that had been previously removed. The crew was meticulous about cleanup as well - all hard surfaces in the yard, driveway and street were blown or swept clean, and care was taken to clean the grass and planting beds upon completion.

+ -1 moreI called Andy on 2/7/11 and ,at my request, he came out the next morning rather than that afternoon to give me an estimate which I accepted. He said he would do the work later in the week or early the following week. He called that afternoon and said he could do the work the next day, 2/9/11. He arrived on time with one assistant, Angel, and trimmed all of the trees that I had asked to be trimmed. He also picked up a pile of small limbs that I had made along with several other limbs that had fallen earlier. Two large limbs broken during the December snow were also removed along with a small dead cherry tree that I had not noticed was dead. Leaves and debris from the trimmed trees were swept up and removed. The driveway was blown off at the end of the job. My yard was cleaner when Andy left than when he arrived. I couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend Cut Right for any tree service needs. Andy and Angel were prompt, professional, and hard working. I couldn't ask for a better result.
Description of Work: Limbs were removed from fourteen trees, three of which did not require climbing. All of the limbs were mulched and carried off. along with any small dead limbs that were already down. Two large limbs that broke off during the December snow storm were also mulched and carried off.

Andy had his insurance company fax a copy of his insurance certificate. They cleaned up the yard well, and there were no surprises. Recommended.

+ -1 moreJust fine, very good even. They did a great job and cleaned up very well. They left us the chips right where we wanted them. The only minor detail was that they came on a day I didn't say I was available, so I wasn't home to supervise and tell them to cut even more of the tree than they did. But really, that scheduling issue is minor considering how prompt they were to quote, how good the price was, and how good of a job they did. Will be calling them again to do another little job.

+ 1 moreI have worked with Andy before to have trees removed in Summer 2009 and will work with him again. He returns my phone calls promptly and we discussed everything over the phone. He left me a quote within 36 hours of my initial call and I scheduled the work within 72 hours of the initital call. He completed the work approx. 7 days after I called him to schedule yard clean up. He offered to put the leaves on the curb however I was unsure that the city was still picking them up. Andy called the city on me behalf to see if pickup would occur again and found that it would not. He offered to either take them to a natural landfill for a small fee or put them in the wooded area on the back of my lot. I chose the hauling - he also removed some wood that had been previously intended for my fireplace but wound up soaked from not being properly covered due to my own lack of initiative. Overall, another great experience!
Description of Work: Andy cleared the rest of the leaves out of my yard, gutters, and flower beds. He hauled them away per my request - also removed from unwanted wood from the property.

+ -1 moreAndy was very responsive in providing an estimate as well as scheduling the work quickly. I was at work when the crew performed the services and came home to find the work done as we discussed. They cleared out a flower bed that had small trees growing in, cut down two trees on the fence line, took a tall mulberry completely out and trimmed back the pinnoke and mulberry that shade my house. There was quite a bit of debris left from the workers and I had to request that someone return to chop up the wood left as I want to use it as firewood. The wood was left as requested but in huge chunks and it was going to be impossible for me move them let alone burn them. Andy returned the next day and cut the firewood down to size. He did offer to leave the wood chips from the work as well.
Description of Work: Andy and his crew cut down several small mulberry trees, one larger mulberry tree, and trimmed back two bigger trees.

+ -1 moreIt went very, very well. The tree was leaning and, had it fallen, would have caused damage to other landscaping and a building. Several other tree service companies, including one that had done work for me for years, couldn't find the time to take the tree down. One company told me that if the tree fell on my house, then they would come look at it right away - otherwise it would be at least two weeks until they could get around to me. After I called Cut Right the owner came over immediately to look at the tree, and was there bright and early the next morning with a crew to take down the tree. They did an excellent job, and might have prevented some property damage.
Description of Work: They removed one large tree that was leaning precariously following a thunderstorm and high winds. They also removed a second tree to open the canopy.
