The work was decent enough, but I have no idea if it is safe because they chose not to obtain any of the required permits when they were supposed to. The got them after the work was done after they got in trouble with the inspectors that I notified after I found out. I hired them to do a complete kitchen/dining room remodel. This involved filling in an external door, turning a window into a door, lots of new electrical, an island, new range hood, double wall oven. I first contacted them in March or April of 22, and they began work on Oct 24th. The work took roughly 4 weeks. Separately, I worked with Piedmont Natural Gas to have a new gas line ran. Someone other than Boyles installed the gas lines. When the inspector came to do the rough inspection for the gas line in December, he noticed that something electrical was not up to code and asked me when that inspection was. I said I don't know, the contractor is handling all of that. He looked it up and saw that no permits had been pulled by them at all. I called Tristan Boyles to inform him of what I just learned, he audibly sighed and said he would call me back. Sean Boyles called a few minutes later and wanted to know "exactly what I told the inspector so he knew how to complete the permit." He then requested an electrical permit limited only to the island and a mechanical permit for the hood exhaust. The very next day, they sent someone out to do additional work on the exhaust. Tristan Boyles tried really hard for me to not be here when the inspector came out, but I demanded to be here. I made sure that the inspector knew the extent of the work. He found 3 items that were not up to code and could have been dangerous for me and my family. I have no idea what else is not up to code behind the sheetrock, because no permits were pulled when they were supposed to be. On January 25th, 2 full months after the work was mostly completed except for a line item of something they damaged, they applied for a building permit for work estimated to be $50000...they had already been paid over $60000.

Amber was wonderful to work with in picking out everything. Sean was great to give us a fair estimate. The price was a little higher because I picked some upgrades that added extra punch. Tristin and his crew were in everyday, respectful of our home and paid attention to detail. The bathrooms turned out fabulous. I wanted someone that had their own crew and did not subcontract. I don't do many reviews but this group deserves it. If you want a truly professional team from start to finish, I think you should give them a call.

The service was excellent. They cleaned up great. They were punctual and effiecient. The quote matched what we paid. There was a small increase but that was to be expected with all the extra work they provided.
