The Ground Keeper

I love them. I like their punctuality. They said they are going to be at some place at a certain time, they are not 10 minutes late.

I moved into our new Hickory home in July. The new home has a lawn that is overwhelming in size to someone from New Mexico and we did not have a mower sized to handle it. On top of that, the plantings are nothing that we are familiar with coming from the desert climate. I hired a lawn service that I found at work down the street. They showed up occasionally and then not at all. I found The Ground Keeper working at a home across from our new church. The home always has very nice looking landscaping and has a Ground Keeper sign in the front yard. I went over to the yard and chatted with Steve who was mowing there. He agreed to come out to our home the next day. Steve and his partner came out the next day as promised and they took almost an hour to go over every planting that we have. They explained what each plant was, what care it needed now, what it would need in the future, and options for our back yard as a whole. He asked to mow the lawn first without a set price to get a feel for the effort needed to and quot;do it rightand quot;. After mowing we agreed on a price and they have shown up on time every week since. Two weeks ago, I asked Steve to check on the price of a crepe myrtle to replace an old stump in the back yard. He mentioned that the yard would look better balanced with two of them instead of just the one. He called me the next day with a price for the plantings and a cost for the stump removal. The next week we came home from lunch to two gorgeous crepe myrtles in our back yard, no remnants of the old stump, a mowed lawn, and an itemized statement for all the work. Steve even gave watering directions for me to boot. The Ground Keeper is lawn care and landscaping in EZ Mode.
