Pitts Appliance Service

Description of Work: My Maytag Neptune front-load washer, after completing a spin cycle, smelled strongly of something - it smelled like what I think would be an electrical fire, or maybe a belt burning or getting very overheated. Instead of risking it, I decided to call Mr. Pitts the next morning. He answered promptly and I described the issue. He came out that same day and checked it out. Unfortunately I had to leave to pick up my child from school during his service call, but he said it was no problem and he would come back later. He called me later that same afternoon and said he was on his way back. He came and thoroughly checked out the washer, but was unable to find anything, or duplicate the smell. He did a very thorough check though, and I was satisfied that if there had been a real problem, he would have found it. He was almost apologetic that he wasn't able to find anything! He told me the service call is good for 30 days, and if the washer should have any more issues, he would come back out at no extra charge. Strangely, there has been no further problem, so I still don't know what caused the strange smell the first time. If I ever need any of our appliances checked out or worked on, I will call Paul at Pitts Appliance again. He is a consummate professional and a gentleman, and he is very good at what he does, and has been doing it for a long time.

Description of Work: We called Pitt's Appliance to come look at our washer that was no longer working. He was able to come within 24 hours and actually arrived about 20 minutes early which was great. He quoted us to repair/replace parts but then also advised us that due to the age of the washer he would not necessarily recommend repairing. He offered to apply the $75.00 service fee to the cost of the repair ($250). He also recommended a fairly inexpensive washer available at Lowes. We opted to purchase the new washer based on his recommendation.

Description of Work: I had Pitts Appliance & Refrig for repairing the icemaker in my refrigerator.
