Clean and Dry Carpet Care NC

It did not go at all as HE DID NOT SHOW UP. I called him on 3/4/2013 and left a message for him to call me back. He did call back later that afternoon and I went over with him what I wanted to have done. I got his name from Angie's List and had never used him or this list before. He had a good rating although there were only just 3 reviews but he was close by in Hickory. I did read everything that was said about this company and had high hopes that he would indeed deliver. I explained to him that my mother lived with me in her own new constructed apartment in my basement and her carpet needed to be cleaned. The carpet to be cleaned was both new carpet since last summer and old carpet that has probably never been cleaned since the house was built in the late 70's.We have lived in the house since 1992. I told him that I had a dog and three cats in the main house and my mother had 2 cats in her apartment downstairs and there had been pet stains, also wine and food stains around the dining table and in living room(new carpet). I also told him there were 3 bedrooms out of 4 up stairs that was the old carpet that needed to be done. New carpet instairwell and hall upstairs I wanted done also. Told him it was a big house. He gave me a quote of $140.00.Told him that I had many heavy antiques that I did not want moved because I did not want to unload them. We set up a time for the next morning at 10:30a.m. OK, so I go and tell my mother that he is coming the next morning at 10:30 to clean the carpets both hers and mine. My mother is 83 years old and is slow to get moving in the mornings and she needs a time to shoot for. She sleeps in most mornings until after 9:00 and 10:30 was a good time for her. Well the next morning George Jones calls I believe alittle after 9:00 and says he was calling to see if it was OK for him to come clean my house today and I thought to myself, self, we already had a scheduled time for him to come. So I told him yes it was OK but not before 10:30am that we had a 10:30 appointment scheduled. He laughingly said, "See you then" and that was the last time I ever heard from this man. I had taken time to pick up stuff from the floor and do little things that I thought might help him out and had turned on all the lights so that he could see what he was doing, etc. to be ready for this man and his big van to come clean my carpets. When he didn't show up I thought he would be calling to tell me he was running late as it was a very rainy day. It even crossed my mind that he could of been in an accident of some sort because of weather. My mother was concerned also. Obviously not the case as we did not here from him today 3/6/2013. I do not know how this company earned the good ratings although there were only 3. In my opinion, he does not know how to deal with people in the real world and especially if he is running his own company he needs to be a professional and follow up and do what he says he is going to do. I chose not to call this man during this whole experience as I feel it was his place to call me and explain and if there had been a misunderstanding somewhere he should of had the guts to call and straighten it out. Like I said this is all new to me using this list and dealing with company's on this list. That rating means alot to these company's and I would think that they would go all out to keep their rating up.

George responded to my e-mail request for a quote on 3 badly soiled carpets used by tenants in a rental unit. He provided me with a quote of $90 which I felt was quite reasonable. On the day of service, George called in advance and then arrived at the specified time. I told him there were actually 2 additional carpets to be cleaned if he had the time. As we were looking at the areas to be cleaned, George pointed out the areas which would be no problem as well as those which could be problematic. The actual time was much quicker than I ever would have expected and he did a FANTASTIC job. My carpets looked beautiful and smelled fresh. The additional cost for the 2 rooms was $50. I will most definitely use George again in the future and would recommend him for any carpet cleaning job you have!!!

I'm very pleased with George Jones and his "Clean and Dry Carpet Care, N.C." outfit. He gave me a considerably better price than the other company that I called by almost half that guy's price and I like that. I called him in the late afternoon and he came by here the next morning first thing.I learned of his company through his roadside advertizing signs, but he was also recomended to me by a close friend in my area who just used his services yesterday.
