BACCUS ROOFING

The contractor provided an estimate that was comprehensive ayet understandable by this layman. He and his crew arrived on time, cleaned up the area when they were done for the day, and were respectful of our and our neighbors' property.. We negotiated mutually satisfactory payment detail before work began. There were no hidden "surprise" issues that caused any price increase. The worklmanship is terrific. We are totally satisfied with Mr Baccus.

Elton Baccus Baccus Roofing RIPPED ME OFF! Hurricane Irene left my new home in terrible condition. I had only lived here in North Carolina for 2-3 weeks prior to the hurricane hitting us. We evacuated and returned 1 week later to find roof damage, leaks, mold, ceiling damage, etc... I didn't know where to turn so I joined Angies List and started making calls. This is a huge state so many of the people I called who had references didn't come this far East. Others were too busy or never called me back... The one person who did seem interested was Baccus Roofing. When I called he made an appointment to come look and quote me the damage. I missed him since he showed up several hours early and he left a business card in my door. So I called him back and he quoted me about $650. He told me a worker of his would be coming to my home to do the work. When Monday came, the worker was there on time and seemed nice enough so after confirming the work to be done he began. By the end of the day he was done and I paid him. He gave me his card in case I needed other side jobs done on the house in the near future. Which I told him my husband may need some assistance with a porch we are building and that he would call him. I handed him a $50 cash tip also. Not more then a few weeks went by and we had a good rain storm come in September. I want to add that my laundry room NEVER leaked but had ceiling damage and mold growing. It just hadn't leaked water into the house. On this day the water began to pour into my laundry room! I called him immediately and he said since it was Friday he could come out the following Monday which I agreed. He never showed up. Since then I have been in contact with the owner who made 2 appointments and still has not showed up either! His name is Elton Baccus and he claims to be honest, dependable, and experienced on his business card. Obviously he is none of those things! He told me the worker was ill and in the hospital, then when he missed the appointment it was another excuse, then the third time he just didn't bother calling me. Stay away from this company! Now I have to go and sue them for my money back in small claims! Being a Paralegal I thought I did all the right things but I see he took advantage of a disabled woman whose husband wasn't here! Perhaps he's just a CROOK & a FRAUD, I don't know. I do know that he RIPPED ME OFF! As business owner myself, I know what it takes to make people happy and do a good job, this is not the way!
