I-26 SMALL ENGINE SHOP

Both tires were off the rims. A standard air compressor would not inflate the tires. It took two people several hours to compact and inflate both tires. A lot of physical effort.

I went in the shop to inquire about the cost of cleaning my lawn mower before putting it away for the winter and was told it would be $27 plus $60 for pickup and delivery. My contractor kindly said he would deliver it and pick it up for me, thus saving me the transit cost. When I was ready for him to drop it off, I called the shop once again to verify the cost and was given the same price of $27. When my contractor dropped it off, they told him the same price. I gave my contractor money to cover the cost when it was ready, but when he went to pick it up they told him the cost was $70.16. He couldn't believe it, because both he and I had been told $27. When I called to complain, the person with whom I spoke was very arrogant and said, "Do you expect someone to spend one hour of labor and change your spark plugs for $27?" If there was a charge for parts and labor on this job, the company should have said so, and given the total cost. I feel this company deliberately gave me incorrect information on the cost of their service to get my business, and they were very unpleasant when I called to complain.
