I called and told them I gave the coupon to the service rep and have not heard anything since.

Description of Work: They are great! They are a mom and pop company and they are really, really good. When you call, they come right away. They have fixed my AC in the house. I thought I would have to buy a new one, but they were able to just replace some of the parts and it’s been working since then. They do my maintenance every 3 months as well.

Description of Work: Coolant leak in interior air handler required replacing the entire coil assembly. The technician, Jeff, was able to supply AC to home for a few days until part could be delivered. Much appreciated since temps were mid-80's. As a newcomer to area, he also talked about places to go and where to get good BBQ. Arrived on time and really worked hard to minimize downtime.

Cons: They were not on time, nor did they communicate clearly regarding the appointment time. Also, I bought the coupon off Angie's List, and they kept calling me to ask for payment, though I had already paid for the service. Not a huge deal, but it was annoying and felt like a waste of my time.

Description of Work: Horizon installed a new Trane heat pump and an air handler for my upstairs bedroom. I liked them from the beginning, as Mike gave a professional presentation, explained several options, answered questions clearly. He did not try to oversell the size of the unit I needed, as one other company did.The estimate was comprehensive and included a discount; he also handled the Duke Energy rebate I was due. Best of all, he was nearly $1000 lower than an identical system from another provider! |They did the job in one day, cleaned up immaculately, and came back the next day to check and fine tune. The system has been running for six months now, and is quiet and efficient.

Description of Work: Replaced heatpump, refrigerant line set, and air handler. Reworked supply and retrun plenums and sealed joints and takeoffs with mastic. Planned installation of high performance air cleaner. Overall good performance of install team. Some difficulty with system start up after installation, but team stayed until issue found and operations. Problem with late order of air cleaner vs available install date. No issue will be installed at later date. Team cleaned up very will but due to finishing after dark missed a few cable ties in the driveway. Overall would recommend to others needing same service.

Description of Work: We subscribed to Horizon's generator and HVAC service at the recommendation of a neighbor. They have proven dependable and responsive. When it was discovered that our generator could not be service, they refunded the cost of the maintenance contract.

Description of Work: My old heating system was 20 years old and never provided consistent heating and cooling between the upstairs/downstairs. Horizon installed a Trane heat pump with dual zoning to control the upstairs/downstairs issue. On day 1 - Horizon came in, covered their shoes to protect my flooring, walked through the entire house to confirm how the old system was installed, made several recommendations, then provided 4 estimates on various sized units with prices. I didn't want to purchase the new system until Trane offered their fall rebates. Horizon sent me an email with the rebate start date and 11 days later the new system was complete. Horizon hauled off the old system, installed the new, cleaned up the mess, provided instruction, and even set both thermostats. Horizon was most professional and courteous. The system is quiet and seems to be working much more efficiently than the old. Great company!

Description of Work: We are extremely satisfied with Horizon's services. They installed a new Trane heat pump for us (both indoor and outdoor units) after our 18 year old system failed. They were very professional and explained they could repair the existing unit but did not recommend it due to the unit's age. They also discussed different equipment options with us, and explained why we needed a larger unit than previously. (The basement had been unfinished and unheated when the house was built and the previous equipment installed). They did a very thorough appraisal of what would be needed, but there was no pressure to buy from them, or to upgrade to the top-of-the-line unit, which they felt exceeded our requirements. We did select Horizon to do the work. They arrived on time on the date we had scheduled for installation, installed the equipment, hauled away the old units, and cleaned up after themselves. They followed up with a visit a couple of days after the installation to make sure everything was working properly, and they scheduled (at our convenience) a county inspector to inspect the work after it was completed. It passed with flying colors, and a comment from the inspector that they "did a good job". Horizon also sent us all the necessary paperwork to apply to Duke Power for a $200 rebate. We are very happy with the new unit. It is much quieter than the old unit, and keeps the house at a far more even temperature, and keeps us warm even when we set it lower than we used to do.
