+ -1 moreBob came out to see if our gas fireplace could be converted back to a wood burning one. He said it could be done easily so we hired him to do it on the spot. He inspected the chimney as well, capped the gas line, and also gave his advice on what we'd need if we ever wanted to install a wood stove. He was helpful and polite and did a great job!

Bob Kaufman first removed the stove's ceiling baffle so ashes would fall down into the stove, and then climbed the roof, removed the chimney cap, and brushed the liner from the top. He also cleaned the metal chimney cap. The company I have used for two previous years, did not clean the chimney cap and swept the chimney from the bottom, so I was particularly glad to see Mr. Kaufman sweep from the top. He also corrected some misleading information I had been given.
Description of Work: Our annual chimney cleaning was performed on a lined chimney with a wood stove.
