We have used Carolina Carpenters to do major work on our home. It was built in 1982 and had been neglected by aging parents for more than a decade. There were major foundation problems, the windows needed to be fixed, the copula over the garage was falling down, and the whole house needed to be painted. We consulted with our neighbors and interviewed a half-dozen firms before selecting this one; and we couldn't have made a better choice. The work was performed in an excellent manner with great attention to detail. The craftsmanship was outstanding. They solved problems easily, consulted us when needed, kept in touch on an ongoing basis so we always knew the status of the job, the job site was always clean and tidy, and they were honest and straightforward. We have had them back to do other work since the "big job" and will always call on them when we need work done on the house. Very highly recommended.

I called Rick about installing a murphy bed because I was so happy with the work he did several months ago replacing a front porch. He'd never installed a murphy bed but came by to get the instructions and look them over several days before he actually did the job. He and Josh came out as scheduled and got right to work. Since they had never done this before, it probably took them longer than usual but they worked diligently and were as meticulous as they had been on our porch. The result is a very secure, beautiful murphy bed. My husband and I are once again pleased with their work and would recommend them to anyone. In fact, I have his phone number in my list of contacts. I know this was a "small" job for them and many carpenters wouldn't be bothered with it but I really appreciate that they would come and do an excellent job for us...and my dogs love them!

I hired Rick on the recommendation of a friend who was very happy with his work. Rick came out promptly and gave me an estimate to tear out our old wooden porch, extend it and replace it with a composite material. He and Josh, his son, were available in a reasonable time and came as promised. I had some complications to this project but Rick had the solutions. He found a problem with water that had caused some damage and went above and beyond to correct that....at no extra expense. They were very professional and very meticulous...just the kind of handyman I like. Their price was fair as well. He was very accurate with all his measurements when purchasing the materials so there was no wasted money. My husband and I are very pleased with their work and would hire them again in a minute. I highly recommend them!

The job went excellent. They were very reliable and they were very professional. They did a very good job. It was just a man and his son who did the work. He was a very good carpenter and he did a lot of good work. I would highly recommend him to anybody.

He was very nice. He gave me an itemized estimate promptly. He came out promptly. However, I decided not to use him since his price was a little bit more. Also, he talked a lot. I learnt some very interesting things about North Carolina that I didn?t know before. Some people may like that, but it didn?t work for me. I will not consider using him in the future.

My experience has been excellent so far. Rick is very punctual and professional, and has an incredible eye for detail. He thinks of many aspects I have not considered which is helpful when dealing with a complex project. I am also very pleased with the subs he has brought in to work on the house.
