Steve, had professional photos of by property made and listed the property in way it was highly visible to potential buyers. The house was on the market for less than 24hrs before we had a signed contract. All the paperwork was explain to my wife and I in a very professional manner and we felt no pressure at any time. I worked with Diane Ward at Beverly-Hanks in purchasing a home. I contacted Beverly-Hanks via a cold email since I didn’t know anyone in the area. The office manager asked me several questions about my needs and preferences. Diane was subsequently assigned to me. She contacted me immediately. Working with Diane was an outstanding experience -- from the initial contact to viewing houses to assistance with making the purchase and including assistance after the purchase was complete. When we first met she asked questions about the type of house and lot I preferred. Throughout the house viewing process she carefully listened to me to understand what was important to me. Her goal was always to ensure a good fit between me and the house and lot I would eventually purchase. During the process she raised issues she thought were important for me to consider, particularly since I was new to the area (e.g., how far the house was from local services). Finally, she would offer ideas of types of houses I might want to view but she was never pushy. This was very helpful because she encouraged me to think outside the box and, as a new resident to the area, I was not knowledgeable about various opportunities. Diane used a very effective strategy to help me in narrowing down the many houses I saw. As a result, the process was very manageable. This was particularly important because I lived out of town and consequently was viewing as many houses as possible in a short timeframe. This could have very easily turned into an overwhelming process but instead it was very enjoyable and I always felt I was making progress toward a decision. Diane was much attuned to information buyers need to know as they look to purchase. For example, she provided information about the local economy, local geography, and lifestyle. Her method for helping me understand the location of each house and its proximity to services was extremely helpful to me. She was very knowledgeable about all aspects of purchasing a home including financing, short sales and foreclosures, the local housing market, and issues specific to the area (e.g., radon), and many others. Diane had endless patience and a cheery disposition. Several aspects of the house I purchased were challenging and consequently time consuming for her. But she went far out of her way to ensure that everything went smoothly and that the seller and I were both completely satisfied. She always kept me informed regardless of the issue. I was always certain that she was handling what needed to be done no matter how small. I cannot recommend Diane highly enough.

They dropped the ball and didn't even understand what we were trying to do. I am now in California and they are in North Carolina. I was trying to find real estate in North Carolina to purchase and when we contacted the main office we were referred to a secondary office closer to where we were looking. When we contacted the person at the mortgage company we wrote up a description of what we wanted including the price. We were brought two properties and it all fell apart so we went another way. Their responsiveness was pretty poor.

We first reached out to Kim Cheatham and Buck Heatherly early this winter when we started our home search from out of state on the Internet. They had a listing that appeared to suit all of our needs. Kim and Buck worked their schedule around my partner's business trip and met him at the property. The home was not the one for us, but both Kim and Buck took in information on our budget, home needs, and desired location, etc. They developed a listing cart of potential homes for us from MLS, and would add to, allow us to delete, and also allowed us to add to.During the next few weeks we compiled a list of properties that we would like to view, and both Kim and Buck set aside time during both a Saturday and Sunday to show all of the properties and to also meet with a potential builder. They picked us up at the hotel, and spent entire days viewing properties together. Both Kim and Buck were extremely knowledgable about the different areas where we were looking. They were also super friendly and very honest with their individual assessments of the properties and our needs. It was wonderful to get perspectives of the same homes from the both of them. They answered phone calls and emails right away and were able to secure information on the different listings, such as restrictions and by-laws. They would even drive out to some of the listings we found to get us more pictures and information before our actual visits. During the end of a third visit to view more properties, Buck suggested to my partner a home that met just about every requirement we were interested in. The home was one of their own listings with Beverly-Hanks, and was slightly above our budget. Buck pointed out that he and Kim did not want to show us the property because it was listed above our budget, but that every property we were interested in required work and money that would have brought the price up to this one.They called the sellers in the late afternoon from the car and asked if my partner could view the home. The sellers were gracious enough to allow the unscheduled viewing, which turned into our dream home.During the negotiating, contracting, home inspections, etc., both Kim and Buck have been super responsive; often scheduling things and attending to things in our absence. Everyone that Buck has suggested for inspections, etc. had excellent ratings on Angie's List, too. Both Kim and Buck have given us, and even after closing, continue to give us, their constant attention. You could not ask for nicer folks or better realtors.

After locating a home with the assistance of the excellent folks of Beverly-Hanks and Associates Realtors, we applied for a mortgage using Beverly-Hanks Mortgage Services, located in the same office building. Jamie Fleming, our mortgage consultant, was extremely thorough, friendly, and very communicative, both through emails and phone calls. Beverly-Hanks gives the buyer a really nice folder full of information sheets that explain the entire home-buying process, including the exact documentation that the applicant will need in order to process the loan application. Jamie was able to secure us an excellent interest rate. She guided us through every step of securing the documentation needed for the mortgage. We were able to close in a timely, painless fashion.
