Work was performed professionally, on time, and on budget.

It did not go. The company contacted me for a next-day estimate soon after requesting quotes. Since I was not available the next day, I asked to be scheduled later in the week. Then, they wrote back and said never mind, they are all booked up and not performing any jobs in my county. They had my address to begin with so I'm not sure why the change.

Basement and Radon Solutions has been such a blessing! My husband and I bought a house to flip that had some major issues with the crawlspace (so bad it couldn't pass the CL-100). We had water issues, mold, no insulation, radon that needed treated in the crawlspace and slab area, and more. Rod came out to look at the space and really took his time to figure out solutions to all of our issues. He explained everything to us in a way we could understand and also worked with us to try and find a way that we wouldn't have to shell out extra money for a french drain. In the end, we needed to add it, but he guided us in trying to fix problems to we could avoid it. This company is definitely more concerned with customer care and quality work than getting extra money out of people. They've been honest, respectful, thorough, helpful, and transparent through the whole process. Their office staff is fantastic too - So communicative and nice to work with! We had three guys out working on the crawlspace for about 5 days. They were each so kind and friendly and boy did they work hard. We had snow coming towards the end of the week, so they worked long hours to make sure the crawlspace was finished in time. They were happy to answer any questions I had, and you could tell that they take a lot of pride in the work that they do. They were respectful of our house and showed so much integrity. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave any trash behind. They were AMAZING! Now, our crawlspace is GORGEOUS. I would even go under there and that is saying something!! They went above and beyond to fix every one of our issues. All of our other contractors who have been in the crawlspace rave about how nice it is and they've all said it's the nicest crawlspace they've worked in. I wish I had a before picture so you could all see the difference because it is night and day! And what's better is I know everything was done right. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! Do yourself a favor and reach out to Basement & Radon Solutions. You can trust them completely!

Basement & Radon Solutions was contacted to check levels in our basement. After a long testing, our levels read 8 which required a mitigation system. The installers arrived on time, did a neat job putting in the system, and thoroughly explained the system when they were finished. A follow-up testing was done which showed levels now at 2. The people at Basement & Radon Solutions were excellent at communicating when they would be at the house and the results of the testing. We are very happy with the service performed.

They were very prompt in responding to my call and always showed up on time. They provided a detailed quote prior to performing the work. Although their quote was not the least expensive, I decided to have them do the job because of their knowledge and professionalism.

They were very responsive. They told me a service call would be $85, but if I had the work done, there would not be a charge for the service call.

Checked area - gave consult of what needed to be done - did not encourage expensive solutions but gave advice to the extent that the crawl space needed updating. Basically an advisory inspection. Punctual, friendly and knowledgeable.

I had conducted both a short test (First Alert) and a 6 month long alpha track test (AccuStar) to determine the level of radon present in the finished below-grade room of my house. Both test results showed that the radon level was elevated significantly above the EPA's maximum safe level of 4.0 pCi/L ( the short test indicated 8.2 and the long test was 7.1). Based on Angie's List reviews and the recommendation of a neighbor, Basement and Radon Solutions was selected to provide a quote for a mitigation system. Following a visit to my home, Stanley provided several choices for the location of the system. After discussing the pros and cons of each option with Stanley, a solution was chosen which provides effective mitigation and minimal visual impact. Stanley and his assistant, Roy, were very punctual and did a very professional and neat installation. Stanley explained his work to me at every step of the way. Stanley then set up his radon detector to determine the level of effectiveness of the system. The reading taken after several days of testing was below 1 pCi/L, much lower than the EPA's danger point. The system reduced my radon level to one eighth of the level that was present without the system. Several days later the electrician, Joe Holbert, completed the permanent wiring to the radon blower. I am totally satisfied, and now feel safe about using the below grade level of my home.

The appointment was scheduled quickly and at my convenience. Mr. McCall looked at my basement and took a few moisture/humidity readings. He determined what the problem was and explained that while his company could install a drain from the interior, he felt that I needed to address some issues on the exterior to determine if that would solve my moisture problem. If his suggestions don't work, I will call him to install the drain system he described. What a pleasure to not be sold I product I might not even need as some contractors would try to do.

The service provider came in, walked around the basement, but did not walk around the entire outside of the house to view the house foundation. According to the details on our Angie's List voucher for this service, we were supposed to receive a drainage analysis used for creating a preventive water leakage plan, a foundation inspection, a diagram of our home with elev ations of our foundation and comprehensive results and analysis of inspection including current foundation and drainage conditions. Our entire foundation was not inspected outside, we received no reports on our drainage analysis, we received no diagram of our home with elevations of our foundation and we received no reports about the comprehensive results and analysis of inspection. There is a leak in the basement we were concerned with that my husband pointed out and the service provider said to keep an eye on it. He told my husband that their company did not do that type of service and that we would need to call another company. We purchase this deal with the understanding that this company would be able to help us as the wording in their ad said they would do a "water leakage inspection" and provide a "complete correction plan offering an all-inclusive repair price". This was our first Big Deal purchase with Angie's List and this service provider did not come through with his advertised deal.

They were very reasonable in price. The job was done well and we would highly recommend them as well as use them again in the future.

Provider was prompt and provided and gave advice . did not remediate-- saved us money by telling us what to do!!! I would recommend this provider to others.

Rod was on time, very professional and full of helpful ideas that would not bring him more money. After inspecting the basement he thought my problems began outside and found the problem spots and offered solutions along with new ideas which should lead to a dry basement. I thank him for his generous time in aiding me without even needing his services. If I do need him in the future I will not hesitate to call.

An inspection of a potential house purchase revealed some fungus in the crawlspace. I contacted Rod Johnson for a more detailed inspection. As far as I am concerned, Basement & Radon Solutions is the 'go-to' expert in their field. Inspection was thorough, and he took the time to answer all my questions. I received the report the next day. Due to the complexity of the drainage issues Rod needed to be in touch with both the sellers and me, the buyer. A solution was reached. I would recommend with full confidence.

As far as I am concerned, Basement & Radon Solutions is the 'go-to' source for basement/crawlspace problems. He inspected the crawlspace of a house I was buying. He did a thorough job, extending to the external factors like slope of the driveway. He provided a written report that was excellent. So professional and knowledgable. He took the time to speak to the seller upon their request, to make recommendations that satisfied both sides. I would use Rod's service anytime!

The work performed by Mr. Johnson went superbly. I had purchased the Crawl Space/Basement Inspection through Angie's List and it came with a $200 credit towards repairs. It was totally worth what I paid and I am very pleased. Mr. Johnson answered all of my questions and even offered helpful information that I, as a homeowner (or any homeowner), would need to know to maintain the health of the crawlspace and navigate it if needed. Mr. Johnson could have just done the inspection and reported his findings but he took the time to answer extra questions and even took a look at my home's structural appearance, seeing if everything was intact, and emphasized how important it is to maintain the gutters because allowing the gutters to get filled with debris, leaves and other matter can cause localized flooding patterns which can translate into a flooded crawlspace. Mr. Johnson also opened up some of the foundation vents to allow some healthy air circulation through the space. I am truly happy with his honest approach. Additionally, within a short time of purchasing my special offer through Angie's List, I was contacted by the office manager, Brenda, to set up the appointment. They were able to fit me into the time slot I had requested. I loved that this business was flexible, responsive, knowledgeable and professional! I have found my crawlspace/foundation specialist! I appreciated the fact that he inspected my home and informed me I did not require any further services. He also suggested I contact an insulation company to have my insulation reseeded to improve my energy efficiency.
