Description of Work: They put a new rubber roof on a commercial building. It went fine as far as we know. It is hard to get him to return calls. This hurts our credibility if we recommend them to others. They have been working for us about ten years and do good work but their response is getting worse. I have talked to David Harris about this.

Description of Work: David Harris put a new roof on my home today. Everything was fone as I requested. The work started at 8:00am and ended at 4:00pm. The job looks very good. The cleanup was very well done and all trash and old shingles were removed from the lot. The workers even went over the yard with a large magnet ro make sure all nails and other metal were picked up. I'd recommend this company to friends. By the way, I paid for all of the materials myself which lowered the cost 10% The material cost me about $1500.

Description of Work: Replaced the shingles on my roof. They caulked around flashing on the chimney and skylights. They did a great job! Cleaned up completly. Even came back and caulked again when a skylight leaked a little.

+ -1 moreThe provider states that he will come and make the repair and he commits to a date and then never shows and never calls. I have called him 3 different times trying to get him to come out to do the work. He states that he was planning on coming and quot;tomorrowand quot; and tomorrow comes and he never shows. This last time he was supposed to come out on 10/19/13 and when I called the tenant that is renting the property she stated that no one ever came. I have given him the phone number to the tenant so he can call to make arrangements for her to be home when he comes to do the work and he has never contacted her either. Very disappointed and will never call this provider again. Very unprofessional to set appointments and then not show up or call.
Description of Work: This provider came out and gave an estimate to fix a leak in the roof of a rental property that I own.

+ -1 moreThe service was prompt, and the estimate was very fair for the job. The crew behaved professionally and worked hard from morning until evening. They had a lunch break, but other than that, they were constantly WORKING, which was great. They also did a good job of cleaning up at the end of the day. We would recommend Harris and Son for any roofing/home improvement need!
Description of Work: We needed to have our roof replaced, and made contact with a company that came highly recommended from family and friends. We called Davie Harris of Harris Roofing for an estimate, and withing a couple of days he came out, gave an estimate and a written statement of what would be included in the cost. Within a week of the estimate, work was begun on the roof. The old shingles were removed, any rotting wood was replaced, a new pad was put on, and then the shingles. We went with dimensional shingles in Hearthstone Gray. After the work was completed, we were very happy with the results.

+ -1 moreI was out $600 all together to repair the roof that was done incorrectly initially. I would not recommend Harris Roofing Company- they were unresponsive to our problems/concerns. He completely ignored me.
Description of Work: Approximately April of 1999- he replaced old shingle roof. Mr. Harris and his crew worked on my roof- he got the job done quickly, but made a mess in attic. There was a problem about four years later. I tried to contact him about this- the back porch roof was leaking a lot- to the point where I had a completely soaked wall and a couple of buckets. He wouldn't return my calls- wouldn't come back. The back porch was leaking more and more. Finally, when I had the money another company came out and tried to repair with a silicone gun- this didn't work. They came at least twice. They had to rip everything down to the plywood and redo it with proper waterproof underlayment (like it should have been done).
