Johnny is a tough task master, in a good way, who expects quality work from his team and gets it and that's all to your benefit. He is fair and straightforward. I would happily use his services again.

Duffy came in and took over a project that had been mishandled from the previous owner. He acted as General and brought in plumbers and electricians where neccesary. He took care of all carpentry and sheetrock, tiling and painting. He is dependable, reasonable, and very good at what he does. I trust him to give me solid advice that keeps my needs and budget in mind, while finishing a project to my tastes. He never pushed our project back to do someone elses job, and always kept me informed of developments on the site. In the End he made sure everthing on the punchlist was handled to our satisfaction, from blinds beiing installed, to TV's being hung on walls. The place was made ready to live in because of his attention to detail, and Can-Do attitude. He has an old fashioned sense of responsibility that is refreshing to see, and we would trust him with any project, large or small.

He was a really nice person. He gave me an estimate. The estimate which he gave was very thorough and well written. You would like to accept a contractor like that. He is very fair. I would consider him in the future.

They were very prompt, on time, and very thorough. They did a complete job but their price was little beyond than what I thought I could afford; and the other company beat them on the price and the margin, so I chose to go with them. I'm sure they are a high quality operation from what they presented themselves. If you are talking about high quality, it definitely gives you a high price. I would use them in future; I wouldn't be afraid to see what they bid, I would be curious.

We are pleased with the work that was performed today. Johnny sez he will check back with us after it rains to verify that the work that he did resolves the problem with the water seeping into the room. He will do some additional work on the floor by replacing pergo floor boards that have been warped by water seepage.

Perfect. Not one drop of paint where it shouldn't be and the area looks great. When Johnny completes a job, you can't tell that anyone has been there. It looks as if the paint just magically appeared. I left for work that morning with dirty/dingy walls, pealing ceiling and aged front doors and came back to a brand new looking front entrance.

Perfect as usual. Arrived first thing in the morning and started right in. He got all the necessary parts and made every window in our house operable again.

He was on time, work was good, price was slightly increased because he did additional work not planned before.

Mr. Duffy did an excellent job. His craftsmanship and experience are outstanding. The gables on our house were in need of repair so we decided to replace them. When he took off the old gable the attic was exposed as there was never any sheathing installed by the builder of the house. This was an unexpected surprise. He installed oriented strand board covered with tyvek house wrap (OSB) and then installed the gables and vents, etc. We did not have an attic fan so he installed the solar fan that we wanted. The gate on our fencing has come off a few times over the years. He replaced the gate and used a reinforced post that was anchored in cement as opposed to being anchored in sand (as it had been before) so that the gate will remain stable. After the job was completed he cleaned up all the materials and items from the yard. We are extremely satisfied and pleased with his work and will definitely hire him again.

He came out the same day I called him for an estimate, gave me a ballpark on the spot and emailed me one the next day, was punctual and extremely professional. I was on a deadline with company coming into town, and he did the work in the timeframe promised. He came back to retouch wood trim where the damage bled through the coats of paint, and he did it under the wire, before my family arrived. My only complaint was that his estimate did not itemize labor and materials, and seemed to me to be too high. He took another look at it and identified an item that had mistakenly been double-billed and immediately sent me a revised estimate. I explained to him that I would like more transparent pricing and he did answer all my questions. We have discussed replacing the windows in my house in the future, one room at a time. It had not previously occurred to me to do it that way. I still feel that his prices are on the high end, but the quality of the work and the professionalism he brings to it seem to balance that out. The rooms he worked on look as good as new, and the doors work great and look great. I should also mention that when he came out to give me an estimate he installed a new flapper for me on the spot and didn't charge me, saying that he likes to help his customers when he can. That flapper turned out to be faulty, but it was one that I, not Johnny, had bought; and he replaced it with a good quality one which has held up well so far. The water filter, also, was not part of his quoted price, but something he did as a courtesy. I appreciated that he was clear about what he could and could not do along these lines -- this led me to believe that he was on top of his schedule and would not make promises he can't keep.

Perfect. Johnny is very easy to work with. He gave the estimate to us quickly, started the work on the agreed upon day, finished on time or early and left the work space clean. In fact, it was as if there was never anything to repair in the first place or like the repair were done by magic.

It was quite a large job. He is honest. He returns and fixes anything you might find wrong. If you have a problem, he's right on top of it. He is dependable, reliable and is always on time. He does such a great job, I just can't stop using him for our home needs. I will be calling him soon to help put in a new garage door for us.

I needed to find a good "handyman/contractor" in the St. Pete area for a disabled friend. I contacted Johnny. He was very prompt in responding to my e-mail and you can always reach him by phone. He does all of the work himself. My friend was very happy with his work. She found him to be very knowledgeable, conscientious, helpful and friendly. His rates were reasonable. He purchased all of the smaller supplies at Home Depot so my friend did not have to worry about that. Although I supplied the larger items, he offered to purchase those for her as well if needed. I found him to be very reliable and he seems to be able to perform most any home repair or improvement task. I will not hesitate to hire him again. Joe (and Sarah)

Johnny can do it all. When asked what he could do, he said he does painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, plaster, tiles, doors, windows, laminate floors, and cabinets. He did fantastic work. Especially on the bathroom floor. Before I moved here, the toilet had some ugly fitting laminate at its base. He made the problem disappear and did a great job with the floor grout. He saved me a lot of money. I had asked him to replace all my ceiling vents, and instead he painted them and they look terrific. I also didn't have to pay a plumber and an electrician. He takes a lot of pride in his work. He's very easy to work with. He was eager to listen to how I wanted things done. Will use him again in the future.

The estimate was reasonable. The work was done quickly and professionally. Johnny is very dependable and trustworthy. We will definately use him again. In fact, he's putting together another estimate for the next list of work we need to have done.

We got several estimates. Mr Duffy's was the most reasonable and he was willing to complete the job rather than leave the painting to us. He graciously returned with his paint color wheel so we could verify the color of paint. He arrived on time on the day scheduled and stayed until the job was finished. The fit of the door is excellent. No clean up was required after he left. He wanted us to be pleased with the job. All in all a very good experience, we will use Mr. Duffy again.

I selected a complicated design for the wall. It was a combination of tile and stone. During the job I made a couple of suggestions with Johnny was very cheerful about incorporating. He had his son with, and I was very impressed with the kind and thorough way he trained his son. Both of them did meticulous work.

Johnny did a lot of beautiful work at my sister's home for a reasonable rate, so I used his service rather than looking on Angie's list. His work was outstanding. The tile work was complicated because I had a mix of stone and tile and I wanted a complicated pattern. He did exactly what I asked for. He was training his son who worked as his assistant, and I was impressed with the patient and kind way he instructed his son. They both were concerned that the work was quality, and that I was happy.

He guarantees all his work. He is extremely reliable. He is very friendly. His prices are competitive. He gives a written estimate and sticks to it.
