The work was excellent and the staff was courteous. We have gotten many positive comments on our lawn. Reedy Creek was very professional and explained in detail the work they were going to be doing. I will hire Billy and his crew for any work I need in the future.

I love...just love the lawn maintenance they do for me and have referred them to a number of people, for lawn service. With the other jobs they have done, I have not been as happy with, but in the company's defense, it was due to Mark, who is no longer with them. When I look at two of those jobs, I still am not happy, at all and plan to correct the problems myself. An area that the company could do...and should do better, is returning calls. Of the referrals, I often hear that they leave telephone messages and no one returns their calls. I have had the same problem. The owner eventually gave me his cell number, to reach him. I hate giving someone's cell phone number out, but I guess I am going to have to give it, when I refer them for lawn service/maintenance. Again....thumbs up on the lawn maintenance. Two thumbs up. :o) :o)

They have refused to refund our $3000 of earnest money.
Description of Work: We met Mark D at a home show, we paid them $300 them to draw up a patio for us. We gave them $3000 as earnest money. We scheduled the work to be done while I was off work. I wanted to be there because we have elderly pets to be there for them. They could not start initially on the date we had previously agreed upon. But they wanted to schedule this work to be done a week later. We declined because of my work. We agreed to schedule a larger project and the patio for a later date, however when he brought the plan it was not to scale and it would have planted on top of our electrical box and he neglected to draw in the fountain which was the focal point of our project. At this time we decided not to continue and asked for our money back. We never signed a contract with them as well.

We worked with this customer for over four months before they decided that they wanted to proceed with the project. At that time they were presented with a contract and a request for a deposit. It was explained to them that the deposit was non-refundable and that it would be used to secure their place on our schedule, order materials, and cover necessary mobilization costs. It was also explained that we could not guarantee an exact start date nor job duration due to circumstances we frequently encounter out of our control, mainly bad weather. (We cannot complete quality work in the rain, nor when the ground is soaking wet from a rain event) We also reiterated numerous times it was not necessary for the customer to be home while work was being performed. The customer submitted the deposit payment but stated that they wanted more time to review the contract. Our estimated start date was 9/29/14. Over a week prior to this we contacted the customer to let them know we were running 3 to 4 days behind schedule on our current job due to 11 days of rain since that project had begun and would not be able to begin substantial work on their project until 10/2. At this time the customer stated that we were supposed to be starting on 9/22 and that this was non-negotiable. I am not sure where the 9/22 start date came from as they could not provide anything substantiating this. I explained that this was not possible, as we would not leave our current customer’s project incomplete to start a new project, just as we would not do this to them once we began their project. At this point they failed to return any form of communication with us until 9/24, at which time they stated that they wanted to expand the project and schedule it for 11/15/14. From this point on we met with the customer numerous times providing samples of product, going over plant material options, and final layout. Everything was settled on by mid October. On 11/1 the customer contacted us and said that they wanted to cancel the project entirely. I personally spoke with Mrs. [member name removed] and asked her numerous times for a reason why she wanted to cancel the project. She would give NO reason nor any opportunity to rectify any situation I was unaware existed. I explained to her at this time that the deposit was non-refundable, as materials had already been ordered, equipment secured for the job, and a 17 day period in our schedule lay empty as it was slotted for her project. I explained that the deposit would be used to pay re-stocking fees for material, overhead for the days allotted for her project, and lost income from turning away three other projects that could have been completed if we had not previously committed to her. I also explained that it would be difficult, if not impossible, to fill this gap in our schedule on a two week notice and that we had several employees who depended on us for a steady work schedule to be able to support their families. I then assured her that we were on schedule to begin her project on 11/15 and that I would personally be involved with it to assure it was completed on time and asked her if she would reconsider. At this point she was adamant about canceling so I reiterated that the deposit was non-refundable in such case. She made numerous threats then hung up the phone. I had no contact with this customer for two and a half months until receiving a letter from her attorney in late January. I responded appropriately to her attorney and am unaware of any attempts to contact me to this point. I am sorry for any hardship this situation may have caused this customer, but stand by my decision not to refund the deposit. Business decisions should not be entered into lightly by either party. My company had over 300 man hours stretching over an eight month period invested in this project. Over half of this time was committed on the premise that the customer was going to have us install the project. Had the customer brought forth any of the concerns she listed in this complaint when she notified us of her desire to cancel the project I would have done anything in my power to address them, and if unable to, would have been willing to refund at least a portion, if not all of the deposit. For the customer to have canceled the project with no reason given less than two weeks before the start date cost us far more than the amount of the deposit, not to mention the costs associated with all the planning, drawings, samples, and site visits spent up until that point.

I hesitate to ever give anything but a stellar review as the people doing the work were not at fault at all doing this work. They worked hard and even came back the next day to haul off debris that they couldn't fit in the truck on the first day. The primary reason that they didn't get a fantastic review is lack of any communication. I initially called and was given an estimate in early May. Was told that it would be at least the following week and up to two weeks until they could do the cleanup. Initially I wanted them to do a standard scheduled weekly service, as well as a cleanup, but it didn't work out that way. After the initial estimate, the representative said he had to check a few things with the owner, but never got back to me. I tried calling and posting on their facebook page, but no one returned my calls. Several weeks later in early June, the same representative stopped by to say that there had been a death in the family. I can more than understand that things happen and we agreed they would come and do the work. I again reminded him that I work at home and would appreciate them letting me know when they arrive so I could bring the dogs inside. On 6/10 I heard a mower nearby and when it sounded very close to the house. I looked out and saw the Reedy Creek truck, I assumed that the crew had not been told to let me know when they arrived. They were good workers and as I said, they did a good job. After they left, there was no check by a company representative to see if the work was done as they had described or as promised, I just received an invoice. I paid the invoice and wrote a letter to the company telling them I was looking forward to doing business with them and what a nice job they had done, but no one has ever contacted me nor was any weekly service started. They have done themselves out of a customer by a complete lack of communication. Too bad really, the crew was good. The management, not so much. I wish it had been a better experience.
Description of Work: Reedy Creek Lawn & Landscaping did a complete yard cleanup. Cleared branches and leaves. Cut overgrown grass. Cleared brush and trimmed bushes. Edged sidewalk/driveway and cleaned overgrowth on fence. Really did a good job on the yard.

Came out and core-aerated area but did not remove any thatch/leaves, of which there were considerable amounts. Came back and spread the seed out over the ground and did not work it into the soil in any manner or provide coverage with straw or similar material. The grass came up okay in some area and very poorly in other areas. There was no follow-up with me at all to see if the grass was coming up satisfactorily or not.

they cleaned it up but NEVER EVER told me the amount would be almost THREE TIMES MORE than they usually charged. I have been using this service for a couple of years and recently because the leaves have been falling. The FIRST time I personally did all the leaf cleanup and got it down to the curb for the city to vacuum. The next time I decided to have them come out and clean up the leaves. two weeks later i get a bill for almost THREE TIMES what they have been charging before. I called Billy and told him i wasn't happy about that and he CLAIMED it took them almost five hours and a lot more equipment - BULL to clean up the leaves. I told him not to ever come back. i will pay them NO MORE AFTER THIS. EVER. I WILL FIND SOMEONE ELSE WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO SURPRISE THEIR CUSTOMERS. WE NEVER HAD AN UNDERSTANDING ON WHAT THE COST WOULD BE.

(Removed member name) was quoted our hourly rate for leaf clean up numerous times before this work was performed. We actually comp'd half of the labor on this job, as she was a regular customer and the job took a long time to complete as no one had done anything with the leaves all season. I would have been happy to discuss this situation with her if she could have behaved in a professional manner rather than calling my personal phone after hours and shouting a long string of obscenities without giving me a chance to speak before hanging up.

Billy and crew came out and worked 2 days on a reinforced 12 by 20 concrete pad for a swim spa. In past we have used concrete companies. Price was a bit higher with Billy but quality higher- paid attention to landscaping so minimal damage. Great job. Looks awesome. We had them dye the concrete too - to match brick patio we already had at residence. Fence company working at same time- were able to maneuver around them.

LOVE Reedy Creek!!!! Billy and his team always do an amazing job. I contacted Billy about the project and he came out and we talked about what I was looking for in terms of materials for the walk and retaining wall. As part of the quote, he gave me a list of paver styles that he thought would work best with my house and a contact at a nearby brickyard who could help me with the final selection. Once those decisions were made, we agreed on a start date. The project ran easily. The team was out here every available day (a couple of rain delays) and worked late most days to get the job done as quickly as possible. The quality of the work is the best. No corners are cut to save on time. The end result is beautiful and Billy and I have received several compliments on the project from people passing by the house. This is one landscaping company that understands that your yard looking great is a direct reflection on them. Pricing for the project was great. In fact, I remember asking Billy if the initial estimate involved labor. I had gotten an estimate two years ago from a different company that was much higher so I thought maybe Billy had just listed material cost. Billy is more than fair in his pricing and will always let you know if there are adjustments to your bill - positive or negative. There are no surprises with this company. I already have my list started for 2014 for projects Reedy Creek can help with.
Description of Work: Installed a retaining wall, replaced a worn sidewalk, added an additional walk, added a small bed, repaired a drainage issue, and mulched the entire yard.

Originally agreed to do the work on 4/4/13, although Mark stated it could weeks to a month before they could do the work. A month later, no update. After contacting Mark again, he said they'd be out "late next week", but never showed. After contacting Mark again, he gave me another new date. This time time the crew did show up (6/25/13 - almost 3 months later). The crew did a mostly good job, but there were a couple issues. First, there was apparently miscommunication on where to stack the pile of 1,000 bricks. I stated next to the garage. However, the crew stacked them leaning against the garage. This is a problem because my garage is already structurally unstable. Second, although straw was laid out over all the areas cleared, grass seed was only laid over half the area (this is now clearly evident as the grass has started to grow). I contact Mark regarding the bricks issue and asked if he could either have them restacked or apply a discount to the agreed price of the work. He refused. Overall, I'm glad to finally have the area cleared, however, I don't plan on using Reedy Creek again. It took almost 3 months for them to do the job, I had to repeatedly use my time to follow-up with emails, and then after the job was complete they did nothing to rectify the issues I encountered.
Description of Work: In my backyard they removed a large dirt pile, cleared the overgrowth, laid down grass seed, and restacked ~1000 bricks.

(Member name removed) was never given a date of 4/4/13 to complete this job. It was only days prior to that she requested a quote and in the spring we are generally 6-8 weeks out on scheduling work. When the crew arrived on site, the crew leader met with (Member name removed) to go over the work to be performed at which time the location to move the brick was discussed. She stated that they were to be put "over there against the garage." The crew leader then asked for more specifics by asking "near the front, back, behind the garage?" to which she responed "just over there somewhere." As the work was nearing completion the crew leader asked (Member name removed) to come out and check over everything to which she did and the only concern she had was some additional pruning on a few trees that remained after the clearing, which was done. When (Member name removed) emailed with her concern about the brick a few days later, her request was for a price discount. When the crew leader was questioned about the situation he explained her vaugeness on the placement and that she had looked over the job while the crew was still on site and mentioned nothing of it. (Member name removed) was told that we could not offer her a discount, as the brick had been moved and placed as she instructed, and that we would have been happy the move them again if she had mentioned this while the crew was still on site. To date, we have yet to receive payment for any work performed.

Company rep. was exceptionally nice and had some good ideas, but nothing really happened after the contracts were signed. This has been an exercise in frustration. Long story short, signed contracts in early April for landscaping work and lawn maintenance. Other than an email advising of an injury to the company rep and a clarification on a certain shrub, we heard nothing else until a response to an email I sent on May 13 telling them they needed to start work on both contracts within a week. They finally sent someone out when it had been one week to do part of the the lawn maintenance work, but single employee apparently wasn't advised about what all was in contract, as all he did was weed (which he did well, I'll give him that) and apply herbicide. No pruning or trimming was done. And we've still never heard back on the landscaping portion even now. I understand overselling and having to play catch-up. It happens. But I don't appreciate poor/absent communication. With texting, email, and even a phone call, there is no excuse for not taking 2-3 minutes to update a customer on when his work will be started. If delays pop up, tell me and I'll deal with them. I don't expect perfection. But l do expect occasional communication, or at least some attempt to begin the work contracted for. Contracts are cancelled, and I wouldn't be too quick to hire this company.
Description of Work: Heavy hand weeding and application of post-emergent weed control is all that ended up being done.

The only contract [member name removed] ever signed with our company was a Turf Management contract. This contract is for weed control, fertility management, and overseeding of the lawn over a one year time period. (overall, 12 treatments provided during 8 site visits) [member name removed] was sent this contract, which had a start date of April 1, in early April to approve and sign. We did not receive the signed contract, which [member name removed] had marked through the April start date and had hand written in a May 1 start date, as well as adding "Heavy weeding of all beds" into the work to be performed section, until May 3. On May 6, the customer called our office wanting to know why no one had been out to service his property yet to which we responded that we had just received is contract and his property had been put on a route and that he would receive his first treatment within the month. He responed that if it could not be done that week he would cancel his contract. We obliged him by send a tech to his property on May 9 to apply a post-emergent, pre emergent, and spring fertilizer, as well as weeding all of his beds, even though we had not contracted to do that. On May 13 [member name removed] emailed stating that he was canceling his contract and would only be paying a one month installement of it. It appears that [member name removed] was not looking for a year round turf care service, but rather a one time property clean up with twelve month no interest financing, which we do not offer.

Reedy Creek has to be one of the BEST landscape businesses around. I've had others come and give estimates and/or provide work for us but I was either not satisfied with their professionalism or their price. Billy of Reedy Creek did everything I asked of him and more for a reasonable price. This is the second time we have used his services. The first was to pour a concrete patio and sidewalk, then put in plantings for us. These have done well now for 2 years. Overall I am VERY happy with his service and plan to use his business for other projects we plan to do.
Description of Work: Put in sod, planted 2 crepe myrtle trees, filled my raised gardens and brought in 6 loads of gravel for the driveway

It didn't go well at all. I was never happy with how my yard looked and we ended our relationship after 5 months.
Description of Work: Billy is a very nice person. The problem we had with his service is that he uses different crews for everything so for example when the mower crew comes out they don't pick up sticks and do general cleanup. We were constantly calling and emailing him to come back to finish. We ended our relationship on a friendly note and Billy even refunded my last month's payment.

Mark and I walked my property and discussed in detail the work I was interested in having Reedy Creek do. He was personable and seemed to understand my needs and how the project would need to progress. He took a lot of photos and told me he'd email an estimate within 2 weeks. I never received an estimate and called Reedy Creek several times. My phone calls were answered and I left messages but no one called me back. Based on my experience I would not recommend Reedy Creek Lawn and Landscape.
Description of Work: Estimate on services to include mulching and re-planting existing beds , trimming shrubs and fruit trees, and minor landscaping to reconfigure plant beds and define pathways with monthly maintenance or as as required.

I had a very good experience with this company from start to finish. Everyone was pleasant and professional. I needed some maintenance and cleanup in my yard beds that I had not been able to get to. I have had the lawn aerated and reseeded before but it has never been done as thoroughly Reedy Creek did. After about a month to allow time for the reseeding, they came out and cutback the overgrown hedges and then installed the pine straw in the beds. In both instances they were punctual and did excellent work.
Description of Work: Aeration, over seeding and fertilization of yard. Also had them cut back some hedges that were severely overgrown and then install approx. 15 bales of pine straw in the brds around the house.

They first mowed and edged my lawn on August 1 and they did a terrific job. I'm looking forward to working with them this year and to possibly using them on a larger landscaping project next spring. They may not be the least expensive, however their prices are very reasonable and they do great work.
Description of Work: I found Reedy Creek Lawn & Landscape on Angie's List and was impressed by their positive customer reviews. They did not disappoint. After speaking with Mark, who came out to walk my property, I signed up for the monthly lawn maintenance program and mowing on an as-needed basis.

They are doing really well. The owner came out and provided an estimate when he was supposed to. So far so good. I have no complaints with the service.

We were extremely pleased with the price, level of service and quality of work. Billy knows what he is talking about and is very personable. We always felt that we were getting quality work at the right price. Billy is now our first point of contact for anything relating to the yard.

I have been extremely pleased with Billy and his team. Top notch service and the quality of work is amazing. I have used other landscaping companies in the past but none compare to Reedy Creek. They are my first call now.
Description of Work: Reedy Creek has done quite a few jobs for me. They completely overhauled my lawn last year and reseeded; they do weekly maintenance including fertilizing, weed control, etc; and they most recently redefined my beds and mulched.

I found them on Angie's List. I would recommend them to others. I plan to use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I have used Reedy Creek Lawn & Landscape for some yard work. They changed out some mulch for me, they weeded out some beds, added some beds, and they planted some new plants. They gave my shrubs a spring cut.
