During our 2017 annual dehumidifier service appointment, The Mold Hunter, Inc. found the equipment not to be working properly. I then began the process of pursuing a warrantied repair by shipping our Horizon dehumidifier back to the manufacturer, Air Cleaning Equipment, Inc, of Sanford, NC. After 7 1/2 months of not only supporting my efforts, but intervening directly on my behalf, Mike Smith did what Air Cleaning Equipment, Inc. would not do - he stood behind his work and the equipment he installed, and replaced the unit with a product from another manufacturer. Mike Smith is a business owner and individual of exceptional character. I highly recommend his company, The Mold Hunter, Inc. to anyone needing water restoration or mold remediation.

As a result of their work, the current wood moisture levels and relative humidity in our crawlspace are all below that required for mold growth. Mike Smith and his crew are professional, prompt and polite. They have always demonstrated respect for our property and pride in their work. I highly recommend The Mold Hunter, Inc.
Description of Work: In February, 2015, we contracted The Mold Hunter, Inc for mold remediation in the crawl space of our home. The project included cleaning and treating all wood surfaces, installing vapor barriers and a dehumidifier, and closing all foundation vents. They offer an annual maintenance/inspection service for the dehumidifier which we subscribe to.
