Venters Construction Inc

Venters construction is only in for the money. Forget customer satisfaction. Venters tell you that you'll be paying $32.50 per hour. Then tell you that it will take approximately one day to complete. Then give you a contract to sign that says $32.50 per man hour. Then 3 guys show up. So you start off thinking it's going to take one day will cost 8 hours times $32 or $ 256. Surprise! It does take one day. But it takes 3 guys one day- ooops- that's $800.00! They talk about trucks and about sports and all kinds of stuff while actually charging ALMOST $100.00 per hour!! Wow- that's a lot of money to watch guys stand around and shoot the breeze. Venters left a pile of debris in the driveway of a rental home from Monday until Wednesday. The neighbors piled their debris on top in the driveway. Landscapers came by and piled their debris on top. Even though Vetners knew there was twice as much debris in the pile because they didn't haul it away in a timely manner- they thought it was perfectly fine to charge me to haul all the additional stuff. Then they were hired to clear out, clean up and make level a section of property and given a strict dollar amount not to exceed. They did not clear out, clean up and make level anything. Instead they tore out a huge section of overgrowth, destroyed some landscaping in the yard and left a huge mess. Then they wanted more money to finish. I paid then more money to finish but it still is not cleared out, cleaned up and level. Why? They need more money! They can?t believe I thought it would look nice for the amount I paid! The owner of Venters told me that he knew it would not look the way we discussed because he wasn't using the proper equipment. But of course he didn't tell me this until AFTER he had billed me. I will never use this company again. They do a bad job then want more and more money to fix it. Stay away.
