Description of Work: Breaker for heat pump replaced.

Description of Work: I had flipped a breaker when I was attempting to attached a cabinet to the wall. The stud finder indicated no electrical. Well, I had clipped a wire anyway. The service requested was to repair the damage from the wire I clipped and to have six ceiling fixtures replaced.

Description of Work: The owner is Chuck Smith and he performed the work. He wired and installed 3 ceiling fans on a porch for me. He was very friendly, prompt, professional, and reosonable. He did what he said he would when he said he would. I highly recommend him and will use him again in the future. Thanks Chuck!

Description of Work: My electric oven was not heating properly. The heat wasn't evenly distributed and I was afraid to bake something like a cake because I couldn't depend on it to cook properly. After we used 'broil', turned it off and left the kitchen, we would hear a loud beeping sound. When we checked the oven was turned off, but the message window flashed F12 or F2 and we had no idea what that meant. I contacted Chuck on Angie's List via e-mail . He responded immediately. He asked questions about the problem so when he came to my house in Brevard he knew what he would need and didn't have to go anywhere to get anything. Over the years I've had many appliance repair services and they often would not come on the appointed date and often had to leave and come back because they weren't prepared for the job. At least that was my perception. This was definitley not true of Chuck. We set a date for Chuck to come. He arrived promptly on the day we had set up and he spent a lot of time repairing the oven as well as a track light in the kitchen. I doubt I"ve ever had any kind of repairman come to my house that didn't look like he'd just crawled out from under a house. Chuck was well dressed and professional. He looked and acted more like a business professional which I'm not accustomed to. I know their work takes them to all kinds of places; under houses etc. so I never expect anyone to look as professional as Chuck. When he finished the repairs he told me he wasn't sure it was working properly and I needed to use it and let him kniow if it worked or not. He did not replace any parts and said if it didn't work then he would come back and do that. I appreciated him fixing the oven without automatically replacing parts because that always costs a lot more. Do repairmen replace parts to add more work to make more money? I don't know and don't want to think so but not knowing anything about repairing appliances, or how to repair anything else, I must rely on the experience and honesty of those who come to do repairs for me and trust that I'm being treated fairly. I believe Chuck went the extra mile to be sure we were treated fairly. He would not leave a bill for his services. He said if the oven worked well he would send a statement and if it didn't he would come back and replace parts and bill me after that. I received an e-mail from him a few days later asking if the oven worked. I had not used it at that point. The burners on the top of the stove never stopped working and I'd gotten accustomed to cooking most meals without using the oven. He asked me to let him know when I did use it and if it was working properly. When I had an opportunity to use the oven I was pleased that it worked properly. Only after I sent him an e-mail telling him the oven worked did he send me a statement. My husband and I were totally surprised the bill wasn't at least twice the amount. We were expecting a huge bill. Chuck also gives Senior discounts and we qualified for that discount. This was the first repairman who had ever given us a Senior discount. Gratitude is the word that comes to mind as I write this. How often does this happen? I don't know but if I learn that other kinds of repairment offer Senior discounts I will definitely give my business to them. Here's hoping nothing else in my house stops working, but if it happens I will call Chuck and highly recommend him to others for any electrical repairs.

Description of Work: I converted a cottage to a training center. Chuck did all of the electrical work, including tracing ethernet cables, replacing switch and outlet plates, repairing ceiling can fixtures, adding an electrical circuit, repairing outdoor light fixtures, installing a wall-mounted LCD TV, installing multiple track lights, purchasing and installing CO and smoke detectors, and more.

Description of Work: Complete re-wire of an existing home. Original wiring was aluminum and adding an addition required a rewire of the entire home. Work included replacement of existing wiring, complete rewiring of bathrooms and kitchen for new floor plan, and new wiring for sunroom addition. Also replaced breaker panel to upgrade from 100amp to 200amp panel.
