 + -1 moreIf Angie's List was available back in that timeframe I would have provided a scathing review of them at that time. However, bad experiences with a contractor, HVAC company, etc., seem to hang around forever..So, based on the above, I decided they needed their just due----stay away from them....there are too many quality, professional, responsible HVAC companies that service their geographic area.
Description of Work: Family owned/operated business. Used them for several years--prior to the last couple service calls--and they seemed to do a decent job. The Father performed the next to last service on my HVAC systems and within a couple months had to have them back. Turns out the Father had overcharged one of the units with Freon and, although I can't say factually because I didn't see them do it, I believe they just vented the R-22 to the atmosphere (against EPA regs) to get the level down to standard and then had the gall to want to charge me for the last service call to correct this problem. I wrote them a letter covering these points and why I felt I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. They asked me to meet them at their facility and what I thought was going to be a rational discussion soon became exactly the opposite. It was me arguing my case with the three of them....some bitter words were directed at me and I did end up paying their bill just to get out of the place. Talk about unprofessional and unwilling to accept responsibility for their mistake....
