+ -1 moreDoug went above and beyond during this simple consultation. He answered all of our questions and made realistic, helpful recommendations. He seemed to really understand our situation. Doug is empathetic. We have asked for a bid from Doug and we'd like to be able to work with him.
Description of Work: I tracked down Doug via Angie's List. He promptly replied, set up an appointment for consultation, and was there early! Doug was extremely professional, understanding and friendly. He carefully answered our questions and he was very hands on.

+ 0 moreThe first meeting we had was just a feeling out process to see if we liked Doug, and if we felt comfortable using him to build our home. After the first meeting we felt like he was the contractor we were going to use. We had interviewed several builders prior to interviewing Doug, but he made us feel the most comfortable with our decision. Doug then prepared a final contract with the price and all of the specs for the house. We were fine with all of the details, so we gave him the go ahead. Process was scheduled to take 6 months to finish. He finished in just over 5 months. We were out of town for a good portion of the building process, so we relied on Doug for updating us. He did a fantastic job sending us updates and pictures of the house being built. The house was everything we had imagined. We enjoyed living here very much. We were sad when we had to leave it, and move out of town. I would recommend Doug Schrade to anyone that was building a new home or detached garage.
Description of Work: Doug Schrade built my last home in Ironwood subdivision. He went out of his way to address every concern I had in the prebuilding meetings. He was knowledgeable and extremely patient with my wife and I. He built us a beautiful new home and detached garage. We have since moved out of town, but were very happy with the work that was done on our custom home.

+ 0 moreThis was an overall great experience. We love the house that Schrade Custom Homes has built us. If we decide to build again in the future, we will surely use Schrade Custom Homes again.
Description of Work: Schrade Custom Homes built me a beautiful new home, about two years ago. They have been back and warrantied all of the issues we have had with our house. A year ago we decided to add a sunroom on to the back of our house, and we again used Schrade Custom Homes to do the work. We have been extremely happy with everything they have done for us. They have been extremely professional and enjoyable to work with. Doug Schrade did everything he said he would do and then some. I would recommend their company to anyone that is starting a new project.

Schrade Custom Homes offers the following services: We build everything from Custom Homes to remodeling and additions. We are set up for both large and small jobs. We have an unlimited contracting lic. Which allows for us to build any size project. Our in house staff allows us to do much smaller jobs, in that we can do the work with our own employees and don't have to sub contract everything out.
We do not do small service work. For an example changing one light out. Or replacing a single door. We do such jobs for our regular customers just because we want to keep them as our loyal customers, but do not take on this type of project with new clients.
