 + -1 moreOne of the burners on the stove in our new home suddenly quit working. I took the switch out and wrote down the model number and serial number of the stove. I took the part and the numbers into the store. The girl in the parts department tried to find the part on the internet but was having difficulty. The part I brought her didn't match the one in the drawing. It seems that GE put the wrong switch in, which is why it blew up. She is ordering me what she believes (based on the drawing) to be the right switch. She'll call me when it comes in and told me that I can have the switch on a trial basis. If it doesn't work, I can bring it back for no charge. She spent about 30 minutes between the computer and the phone trying to make sure that I get the right part. Their profit for her work will probably be less than a few dollars, but she was committed to providing good customer service. When I need to buy an appliance, I'll be back.
