All these 5 star reviews and I am the only one that has had some of the worst dealings with this company? Paid over $6,800 for a new Trane unit. Next summer the air handler coil leaked. Under warranty and maintenance contract still cost me over $400 and I had to complain to get it down from $900. Compressor was loud from install and tech told me it needed to break in. Couple years later and tech tells me it needs replaced because it is so loud. cost over $1500 Maintenance on another unit with maintenance contract was never done in a year and the unit was not draining condensation so fan motor shorted out, over $450 and condensation pump installed. Canceled service contract, should have sued. Went under the house this year and found pump was not installed correctly and was not pumping water out. Unit leaking around covers and almost rusted through. Pipe that ran from unit to outside of foundation had been cut in two and left to drain under house. Better check everything they do.

He explained everything he was doing so I understood what he was doing, he cleaned it, went inside to make sure the temperature was set where we wanted it set, and then checked to make sure it was working before he left.

Call Sunday morning and the weekend operator scheduled a technician to come by the house Sunday afternoon. The technician arrived around 1 pm. I described what was happening and he started to troubleshoot the issue. Kevin (the tech) continue to work on the unit over the next couple hours. He took his time to eliminate all variables to determine the root cause of the problem. Kevin explained clearly each step he was trying to ensure I know what may be issue. He located the issue, but he did not have the part on the truck. Kevin explained that the part was not needed during the warm summer days, so he was able to bypass the issue without causing any damage to the unit so my family could have cool air over the holidays. On the next workday, Kevin returned with the needed part and corrected the issue. Many thanks to Kevin and his strong work ethic to ensure the customer was happy and cool during the hot summer days. Thanks you Kevin.

We are still in the design stages. I had almost given up hope on finding someone who showed up sober or on time or even bothered to show up at all. This is one of the most professional groups I have ever worked with.

Well; Michael was truly a gem! So friendly and so competent. Didn't take him but a few minutes to diagnosis the problem. My unit is old and Advance Mechanical has been keeping it alive for a number of years. They are always the nicest people and technicians. I have a regular maintenance plan which allows me a discount (that I forgot I received) b/c of the plan. So that is good.

It went extremely well. Toby and Jonathan were knowledgeable, asked appropriate questions and listened to my needs, they were timely, provided the work we agreed upon and allowed me to feel confident in their competence. I was very pleased and will hire them to perform my program maintinence.

They were Great to work with from calling them and scheduling the appointment until the job was finished. Toby did an excellent job and they were very fair on price. We were excited that the unit was fixed the day I called. Great Job!!

Diagnosed the problem very quickly.

Great service right from the start. Dave showed up 5 minutes early for our estimate and was very thorough in his evaluation and information. The work was scheduled, started, completed, and inspected within a week of us choosing them. They called 2 weeks later to see how everything was running. One year later we had an issue with the heat, they came out within 24 hrs and replaced a recalled part the next day; all covered by warranty. Awesome service, great employees!!!

Advance Mechanical was quick to respond and Mike ,the service technician was so helpful and gracious. Mike had serviced our unit before and was extremely knowledgeable and polite. The entire staff at Advance Mechanical are the BEST !!!

Went GREAT, Tech explained problem (dirty coils), cleaned them, checked unit completely & had it cooling very quickly. Dealt with others before, this company is by far the best around! Thank you!

The service engineer for Advance Mechanical said my compressor wasn't functioning, so they sent a salesman out who gave me a quote for a new Trane heat pump. I called another company for a 2nd opinion. When they checked my HVAC unit, it was functioning. The owner of Advance Mechanical and his employees were terse and showed no remorse when I called and told them my unit was working. It's been ten years (10-10-2007) and now my unit does need replacing. Everyone makes mistakes, but their mistake could have cost me $12,000.

Advance Mechanical replaced the HVAC systems in our house in Brook Valley last year. During that process, they were expert, responsive, and thorough. We were especially impressed with the fact they reengineered the system for performance and efficiency rather than simply sticking new equipment in place of the old. Their personnel were friendly, informative, and very respectful of our home and privacy. The new system has made our home far more comfortable - both temperature and humidity control has been tremendously improved. We have also seen substantial savings on utilities - both electric and gas. What had been a consistent source of trouble and expense in our home is now a source of comfort and savings. A top rating would be justified If this was the end of the story. Just recently, however, the compressor failed - apparently a factory defect unrelated to any of the work by Advance Mechanical. The part is under warranty, but the manufacturer would not pay for labor to replace it because the install was just over a year ago (and the manufacturer's "labor warranty" is only 1-year even though the part warranty is 5-year). This was no surprise to us, the specifics of the warranty were explained to us when we decided on this equipment. Advance Mechanical, however, decided that this scenario was not acceptable and replaced the compressor at their own expense - we didn't even ask them for that! Clearly, we are pleased and very satisfied with our decision to engage Advanced Mechanical. Indeed, we are relieved that we found a capable and reliable company that takes pride in their work and reputation. I hope this review will help other people make a similar choice.

House was not heating properly. Called for an appointment and office personnel told me they were very busy. They would send a Tech but it may be late in the afternoon. They called again to ask if it would be okay to send a Tech in the morning due to the high number of calls and I agreed. The Tech arrived on time and tested the Heat Pump. Found the compressor to outside unit was leaking and it needed to be replaced. Tech offered several options and called the suppiler about the amount of time to the replacement part to arrive. Tech was very professional and communicated everything clearly during each step of the process. Will use again if needed and will recommend to others.

Fairly happy with the service folks. Considered purchase of a new heat pump. Sales person would only provide quotes for high end hybrid heat pumps. Other firms contacted for quotes were not responsive.

It went well I just thought they were very pricey for what I was looking for at this time.

Called and spoke with office staff, who made an appt for the following day. Technician arrived on time and diagnosed the problem quickly. He explained how much the part cost, and upon my approval of suggested fix, he left and came back within 20 min, installed the part, and now my heater seems to work fine. Since I know absolutely nothing about heating and air, I'm pretty much easy prey for all unscrupulous heating and air service providers. I did, however, research the diagnosed problem, and found that I would be a fool to try to fix it myself, even if I could get the part. I didn't call around for prices after having been given a price while the tech was standing there in my house, so I can't say whether or not it was a good price or a bad price. The cost of the part itself on the internet looks to run anywhere from $100-$125. I was charged $90 for the service call, and $325 for everything else combined. The tech spent about 2 hours at my house. You be the judge. I'm happy with the technician, who seemed to know what he was doing and definitely maintained a professional demeanor throughout.

Advance Mechanical has serviced my unit for several years. About three years ago, I need a new one. They installed both the interior and exterior components and I have been EXTREMELY pleased with the results. My light bill decreased and my home has stayed an even temperature..something it never did before. I also have a maintenance contract with them and they come twice a year to check things out before the start of the season...heating or cooling. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a new HVAC unit or repair of an existing one.

The staff are timely, professional, polite and efficient. The furnace & AC unit I ordered on Thursday, October 27 was delivered, installed and working on Thursday November 3rd. They had to install a new pad under the unit to make sure it was draining correctly. They also removed and installed the unit without disturbing the fencing that screened the unit from view. When I had another workman crawling under the house and he discovered a pipe had come loose from one of the bedroom vents - Advance Mechanical was there the next day to repair it. I have had three maintenance visits and appreciate that they call ahead to schedule - if you are not present, they leave written documentation of what they checked and what the status of your unit is. Very helpful and professional - I would recommend, highly.

My air conditioner broke down on Saturday, July 9 (a Saturday, of course!). After calls to several places, I was able to get Advanced Mechanical to come out to my house to look at the problem. I had no previous relationship with them nor a service contract. The technician who came out was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the problem to one component of the unit. This component had two parts, and he had one of these parts in his truck that he could use as a temporary replacement and as part of the diagnosis. When he put the temporary part on the unit, it started to cool. By this time I had decided to purchase a service contract with his company, and he was able to find out that the needed part was still under warranty, so I would just have to pay for the labor....He left and I expected to see him or someone else from his company the following week when the part came in. But then I had no AC on Sunday and had to call him back. I forget what the problem was--something had frozen up, but he again got me cool air. I paid $392 for a service contract and $142 for the labor to install the new part. They came again in the fall to check out both my gas pack and heat pump for the heating season as part of my service contract. With this contract I receive priority service if any of my units go down and a discount on parts if a repair is needed. I intend to renew my service contract with them for 2012 and highly recommend this company for heating and air conditioning service.

It solved the problem for a few days and then we had another outage. Second time, the repairman worked on a valve and managed to get it to give us some more time before we might need to replace it. Each time they came out within 12 hours and were very proficient in explaining in detail what they did to correct the problem.

We called Advance Mechanical to come out and provide an estimate for this new system. They sent someone out within a day who estimated our needs as well as the costs of these services and goods. Their prices were competitive, and they were very realistic about what our needs were, initially suggesting a bigger, more expensive system, but then explaining why a smaller, less costly system would be better suited to our needs. We ordered the system on Wednesday and had the entire thing up and running by the following Tuesday afternoon, and inspected a week after that. Advance Mechanical replaced our downstairs heating and cooling system 3 years ago, and have maintained both systems since then. As requested, they helped us eke out one more year from this upstairs system at minimal cost, enabling us to take advantage of the tax credits every year. Oh, and the tin of Carolina Cookie Co. cookies sent by them via FedEx as an after-the-service-was-completed thank-you was a nice touch-we joked that this dozen cookies was the most expensive ever, at about $650 each! :-) We find this company and its people reliable and trustworthy, and plan to continue using them indefinitely.

I contacted Advance Mechanical Incorporated on a weekday to ask if they would install a new Frigidaire gas stove on Saturday. I was told they only operate Monday thru Friday.
