Description of Work: In March 2011, I signed up for Tru Green service when I signed up for Terminex service. I prepaid $358.10. My previous experience with this type of service usuallty extends for 1 year, renewing on the initial start up date. Well, guess what, Tru Green doesn't work that way. I found out when they sent me a bill stating they performed a lime application in January, then sent me a bill for $47.00. I received a call about the bill and was told this is a new year and my previous service is finished and this is a new year and another fee was do. I didn't quite understand that, so I cancelled the service. Now I have gotten constant calls about this annoying $47 bill. I found my contract and called the office to inquire. Needless to say, they were not very accomodating. The so called manager came on the phone with the most annoying voice I've ever heard. I really thought it was a prank because I didn't ask for a manager, the phone person asked if I wanted to talk to a manager, so I said ok. I also told them that since my backyard is secured by a privacy fence, the alleged lime application was never done on it since they did not notify in advance of the service call. I will pay the bill, but since I only got half of the service I will pay a prorated amount, wheter they like it or not.

+ -1 moreI used them for three years. Every year my lawn got worse than it was the year before. Every year they said I needed more "special" treatments. One year they did a treatment and billed me outside of my contract. There was some special clause in there that said if they felt I needed something they could do it. I canceled on the spot. The next week my neighbor who thought I had canceled them saw them spraying stuff on my lawn. Ever since then my lawn has never been the same as before I used them. I would never use them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

+ 0 moreThe guy seemed like a nice guy. I did like him. He was punctual. I would probably not use their services again in the future. I just realized something. I remembered now. Everything I said was true, it made me realize but what bothered me and then I found out later was this; I had evergreen bushes along my house that looked like the leaves are turning yellow and naive. This guy told me that for this fungus and all the stuff, they are going to spray and take care of it. Therefore, I ended up not going with the service and just taking care of the lawn. A little bit later, an arborist came by my place and said it was normal for evergreen bushes of that type to do this. At that time, I said thank you, even before I knew this. I won’t recommend him. Maybe he was wrong. Maybe he wasn’t just trying to take advantage of me.
Description of Work: I used the services of Truegreen Chemlawn. The guy came out and gave me an estimate but I decided to do it myself. It was in April. I think the quote was about $200. It was for lawn fertilization and pest control. I did not think it was too excessive, they made me realise I can do this by myself for cheaper.

+ 0 moreI used their website to sign up for a free lawn evaluation and it was completed the same day. I then called to set up service and they waste no time getting back to you with offers of long term contracts and automatic pay. I agreed to pay $41 per application with one application every 6-8 weeks in hopes that my yard will look greener. They came out at the end of June to spray the fertilizer but instead switched to weed control once they saw how overgrown my yard was with clover, dandelions, and various other weeds. They said to expect to see results in 7-21 days which I thought was kind of a hazy time frame. Its been about 14 days and I have seen some weeds disappear altogether while others are starting to look a little sad. The weed control seems to be pretty effective. You have to request advance notice so that pets can be removed otherwise they will just show up without warning and then charge you. This seems strange as I would want to notify all customers that work is going to be completed and that they should expect to see a charge on their account. They leave door hangers if you are not home to receive the invoice. Also, pets must stay out of the yard for at least 90 minutes as they do not have pet friendly or green options for control and fertilizer.
Description of Work: I have contracted with TruGreen for yard services to including fertilizing, weed control, and lime application. They do 6 applications of fertilizer a year and one lime.

+ -1 moreFor the lawn treatments, they apply urbbacide, fertilizer, insect control, and grass seed throughout the 7 treatments. For the tree and shrub treatments, they apply insect chemicals and winter oils. After each visit, they hang an informational form on my door. Also, they post a sign in the yard after the treatment. They provide me with a packet explaining the yearly plan and treatment schedule. Their follow up is tremendous and customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to them. Some of my shrubs died as a possible result of the chemicals, so the company replaced all of the shrubs.
Description of Work: I have a yearly contract with the company to complete 7 lawn treatments and 5 tree & shrub treatments. For the most recent visit, the company sprayed a chemical on my 1500 square foot lawn area.

+ -1 moreChemlawn is responsive and they are prompt. They do it all and they are easy to deal with. They always call you back and they are polite at all times. They do their job and do it right. I really like using their services.
Description of Work: Chemlawn fertilizes my rather small front lawn. They also trim my trees and shrubs and clean up leaves that have fallen. They basically do everything but mow my lawn for me. I pay $45 each time they fertilize my lawn and fifty five bucks when they do the trees and shrubs.

+ -1 moreI was not that happy with this particular branch of Chem Lawn. The one I used in my old neighborhood used a liquid fertilizer, here they are spraying a dry one. I do not think the results are as good. I also feel they are a bit higher also in price. I switched to another company using liquids and my lawn has improved greatly.
Description of Work: I had my yard of less than an acre, sprayed with chemical fertilizers. I have this done bi-monthly.
