Response from Triad Roofing Services
Let me start off by saying that we appreciate our customers and the time they take to leave feedback with Angie's List and other sites. At Triad Roofing Services we take pride in our reputation, over 14 years worth, by providing a detailed estimate, followed by quality workmanship and customer service. We want to address this review and rating of an F given to TRS. This estimate was given almost a year ago in 2013 and was for the replacement of a shingled roof system. The following estimate and amounts were given to the homeowners: ~Replacement with 3-Tab shingle $5,145.00 ~Option to upgrade to Architectural shingle +$200 ~Option to install vinyl Ridgevent +$260 ~To replace with 29 gauge Rib Loc Metal Panel at $8,125 To further explain a metal roof estimate, we include all installation of necessary trim and accessory pieces recommended by the manufacturer to achieve warranty. Also, this price includes the removal of the shingled roof, which some companies don't include. Many times, homeowners will ask the price of a metal roof when giving the estimate for the shingled roof, which can be given at that time. Most often the homeowners, because of the difference in price, choose the shingled roof system. If the homeowner is seriously considering a metal roof, we prefer to give them a more detailed estimate for the work and materials included. Estimates for metal roofs can vary greatly from company to company and the gauge of the metal and accessories used determine the value of a quality metal roof that will last for our homeowners. Since this review has been posted, TRS located the original estimate to review and contact the homeowner. We wanted to review the discrepancies of the amount of $8000. The price for the shingled roof was for $5,145 not the $8000.00 noted in review. Several attempts and messages were left with the homeowner to clarify with no return calls. We have been receiving reviews from Angie's List members for several years now and take the feedback from homeowners seriously. We would like our future homeowners/customers to know that we are disappointed with this poor review and to not let it discourage them from contacting TRS. We apologize to the homeowners that we were not able to meet your needs or to discuss the estimate.
