Keith and his guys do a great job - we had used them once before at the recommendation of his brother-in-law, Andy Cox, who had done floor refinishing and installations for us before but was not available on the short notice we needed. The first job was stripping and refinishing a bedroom floor (oak) which was installed in 1942. Did a great job and we were very pleased. Once again, needed floors refinished on pretty short notice as we were re-doing upstairs bedrooms prior to a home visit as part of our application to adopt kids. Andy was booked up so we again called Keith., who was available. Professional, prompt, polite, detail-oriented, fair, does a great job. Keith really knows and loves wood and it shows in his work. Took many hours to completely strip the oak stair treads and it turned out beautifully! We're so glad we had this job done and have this gorgeous staircase, hall, and bedrooms. Cannot say enough good things about Andy Cox (Cox Wood Floors, Church St., GSO) and Keith Isakson (Finishing Touch).

Keith promptly returned my call, gave me an estimate over the phone, and then called me back to follow up. With only 22 days left until Christmas, I was anxious to get this project started. We were holding off all holiday decorations until the floors were done. He was able to squeeze us in since our job was relatively small. He showed up on time and the crew quickly went to work. They were very professional and personable. Keith was very patient with us as we tried to decide on a color for the stain. He stained about 4 areas so that we could get an idea of what it would look like on our floor. While he was gone to buy another stain that he thought we would like better, the crew continued to work. We finally settled on a color and they applied the stain. They left but returned a few hours later to apply the polyurethane. When they were finished for the day, they completely cleaned up the work area. The next morning, they arrived on time and two of the guys helped me move a few things that I wasn't able to move earlier. Keith made a custom piece to transition from the hardwood floor to the ceramic tile floor since I couldn't find a prefab one that I liked. The piece he made is perfect. He also removed a pretty deep gouge in the old floor that was made from moving a piano. The polyurethane is drying now and you can't even tell where the old floors stopped and the new floor began. The final result is beautiful and exactly what I envisioned! Now, off to start holiday decorating.
