 + -1 moreWe hired Southern Dutchman aka Ken Poortvliet in February 2022, to come and replace the old window shutters on the front of our home with new shutters. Ken installed some of the shutters upside down. Ken broke 2 of our window screens trying to put his ladder up near the house. Some of the shutters holes were mis drilled. Ken also damaged our siding on our home during the old shutter removal. Ken never showed up on time as agreed upon to start our project. Ken never returned phone calls or txt messages in a timely matter. The shoddy workmanship and quality were horrible. I would never hire this man again for any project on our home. Home owners beware. You do not want this man in and around your home working on a project. I seriously doubt this man is insured and licensed. Ken Poortvliet has a very deceptive website. I would never hire Southern Dutchman aka Ken Poortvliet for any home project!

 + -1 moreKen replaced the basement stairs. The project grew slightly along the way, as Ken discovered the existing support for both the stairs and the side walls were not up to code. He worked with me in finding good solutions and finished the project for a great price!
