Mosquito Squad of Chapel Hill, Durham & Burlington

WOuld have liked the treatment to last longer but we got a lot of rain shortly after the spraying. Signed up for a couple more treatments so will post up after them.

It went pretty well. It has been a low mosquito, so we were not sure if the spray worked out really well or if we just lesser mosquitoes, but as mosquitos has started coming back around here or actually thinking we saw that there is another Angie's deal to get free treatments for reduced price and we may actually go ahead and order that. Actually, they came when we were out so we weren't here actually to see their work. They were very professional. I would use them again.

Service, professionalism - all good. I just didn't find the product to be effective for my mosquito issue.

Showed on time, rushed to complete before rain storm hit area. Mosquitos noticeably reduced immediately effects last about 21 days. I paid for 2 services and scheduled them 21 days apart, so I got 6 weeks of very good relief from mosquitos and it's significantly lower on number of mosquitos here 7 weeks after my last service.

The mosquito spray just wan't effective. Had to call after one service because the mosquitoes were terrible after 2 days.

My son still had mosquito bites within couple of days. It is not working at all.

The exterminator showed up on time, spoke with me about what he was going to do, and then did a great job of spraying the yard and bushes.

Everything went well. Mosquito Squad first called to set up a day to spray. We did not have to wait long, they were available to come spray our yard within 2 days. Then, then went ahead and scheduled the 2nd treatment day for 3 weeks out. We were virtually mosquito free. I think we had a total of 2 bites between our 3 kids. Would definitely recommend them and use them again.

The service turned out great. We had purchased a big deal and the service is a little bit expensive without the big deal.

The company did a great job and showed up on time, the spray was very effective and kept the bugs away.

We had a real bad mosquito problem before treatment. We couldn't be outside at all without being relentlessly attacked. Job only took a few minutes. Needed to stay inside or leave and keep pets out of yard for thirty minutes after spray was applied. Was supposed to work for three weeks, but was totally effective for more like five weeks and is still partially effective. Worked great! We will call them back after some planned construction is completed toward the end of July for another treatment.

They Big Deal worked out very well with them.

The Mosquito Squad contact on the phone was pleasant, informative, and very patient in answering my questions about recurring service during "mosquito season." My request for an appointment was promptly accommodated, and the information that was provided after the service was a nice assurance of the work that had been performed. I also received a $25 discount for referring a friend and got a very pleasant voice mail informing me of the discount I would be credited and a follow up call asking if all had been done to my satisfaction. Yes! Most importantly, mosquitos that used to be swarming in my back yard are now relatively non-existent!!! For the first time ever, I will be able to have extended outdoor time in my yard this summer and fall. I was motivated to try this service because I have a dog for the first in a very long time. Being held captive in the house when she wants and needs to go out and play and get exercise was a concern. Mosquito Squad has made a world of difference in my quality of outdoor life. I highly recommend this service for anyone who wants to have a mosquito-free summer - which is not easy to do in North Carolina! I signed up for the whole season and will do so again next year.

The first visit went off without a hitch. We scheduled the second visit for 6 weeks later, but somehow the scheduling went awry and they did not show up as we had expected. When we called to inquire, they did not have the appointment on their schedule somehow -- hence the B rating for punctuality -- but we re-scheduled without any problem and they showed up on time and proceeded without any problems. Just a minor scheduling hiccup...

Overall, it was a good experience. They arrived as scheduled and performed service as expected.

They sprayed the entire yard paying special attention to 'problem' areas.

I never actually saw anyone, nor did I speak to anyone after the spray date was scheduled. They called me to set up a date to spray shortly after I purchased the deal. I received an email reminder the day before the spraying, came home from work that day to no smell, no mess, and no mosquitos! I have absolutely no idea what they used, or where they sprayed - all I know is that I paid $49 and magically, the horrible mosquito problem that kept me indoors at dusk every day is now gone! I'm sure this cure won't last forever, so I have every intention of using them again - hopefully this time I'll meet someone! :)

I bought 2 Angie's Big Deal $49 for One-time Mosquito Treatment, and had no problems scheduling and receiving my 2 treatments. I couldn't even go into my yard without getting several mosquito bites, and I haven't seen a single mosquito since our 2 treatments over the last 5 weeks.

My only concern was that I have a number of blooming perennials and annuals and I was concerned about killing beneficial insects! I think it did. However, I think they returned within 4-5 days. I did have a coupon for 1/2 off the cost of the one time spray ( a very good deal! ) It has been 2 weeks and we have not seen a single mosquito! It has made my yard time heaven!! I called to get an estimate. The woman was very pleasant but informed me they do not service my area (zip code 27614, between Raleigh and Wake Forest) She provided the name and number of the Mosquito Squad for my area. (John Morse, 851-5135)

I called Mosquito XPerts, who set up an appointment, came out to look over the property, and proposed 8 visits at 3 week intervals for $750. This process took a week. I called Mosquito Squad, who proposed 10 visits at 3 week intervals for $550, over the phone. I agreed, and they came the next Thursday (about a week from my call). Both companies do largely the same thing, though I don't know if they use the same products. The Squad comes every 3 weeks at about 10:30 am on a Thursday, and they walk all over the property, fogging the area with what they call a barrier spray that kills adult mosquitos and also ticks for 21 days, and kills additional mosquitoes as they come to feed on the greenery. I didn't know mosquitoes feed on anything but me... They don't claim to kill 100% of the mosquitoes, and I would not expect it, or even have hopes for it unless the entire neighborhood is using them. However, I have seen a real reduction in the mosquitoes present, and in the number of times I get bitten. I don't get bitten when going to the car, I don't get bitten when dealing with the trash (both in the worst area of my property for mosquitoes), and I can cook on the grill without soaking myself in repellent. As the days draw near to the time they are scheduled to spray, there is an increase in mosquitoes, and if it is particularly rainy also. My understanding is that if I have a problem, I can call them for an additional spraying. I have not yet felt the need to do that. The 10 visits should cover me through the entire mosquito season.

With the start of summer the mosquitos are back in our yard. Even bug repellent didn't keep them off me, they just kept looking for a spot I missed. I knew from last year that they were going to be so bad we would just hide indoors all summer if we didn't do something to get rid of them. I called Mosquito Squad, and they happened to be servicing my area that day, so they were out in a few hours. The mosquitos were gone that day, and I have seen exactly one in the two weeks since. We've spent hours outside playing, working in the yard, and eating on the deck. No more buzzing, no more bites. It's fantastic.
