J.Lopez roofing was great! I called them to set up an estimate and they came out the next day to inspect the roof. The following day, the office called me to give me the price quote...it was very reasonable. Based on the price and the other reviews, I decided to give them the business. They were supposed to come out on a Friday but to my surprise, they showed up a day early b/c they said they would be so busy the next day, they might be late for my appointment...so they came by a day early to see if they could perform the work. I was more than happy to get the work done as I had a few leaks and the sooner the better. These guys were awesome! I felt they did a great job, didn't rush the work and were very thorough. The roofer cleaned up all the mess and when he was done, explained everything he did and why the issues probably occurred in the first place. Being new to the area and not having much experience with roofing work, I would definitely recommend J.Lopez Roofing! Their prices were fair, they were prompt, courteous and thorough. Way to go J.Lopez!

I called to see if they could install steel siding/roofing on my horse barn. They returned my call quickly and told me that unfortunately, they would not be able to do the siding but they did give me a recommendation on someone who they thought could. Very professional, and I will use them in the future for sure.

They showed up and fixed the probelm on the same day that I called them. Can't ask for better service!

They cleaned up very nice and even used a magnet to make sure they picked up all nails. The roof looks beautiful. He was very polite and professional.

The whole experience with J Lopez was extremely effortless on my part. From the moment I made the call to the finished repairs was flawless. I would highly recommend them.

Because J Lopez Roofing Co. had excellent grades and reviews on Angie's List, I called them (and one other Angie's List roofer) for an estimate on the morning of June 18th. I spoke with Lina (who speaks excellent English) and arranged for them to send someone out the next day to provide me with an estimate. However, that same afternoon, a man arrived in a J. Lopez truck and introduced himself. I showed him the damaged plaster area in the ceiling of my office. He went up on the roof for about twenty minutes. When he came down , he explained that the shingles in a roof valley were cut in a way that his company does not use because water can get under the shingles and cause a leak. He said he would tear off all the shingles in the valley, install a weather guard and new shingles. He said it was a two hour job. He noted that the roof was pretty new. He estimated it was five years old - missed it by a year - it's four. The conversation was little difficult to understand because he speaks a very broken English - difficult, but not impossible. As it was now about 5:00 PM, he said his office would call the next day with the estimate. That evening I looked up the company on the Better Business Bureau website - an "A" rating with no history of problems. At 9 o'clock the next morning, Lena called with the price for the repair. I asked if they could do any better and what is the length of their labor warranty. She asked me to hold while she checked. They reduced the price by ten percent and the labor warranty was for one year . I told her I had to hear from another roofer, but I would call before their office closed at 4 PM to let her know. I called back about about noon and told her I would like them to do the work. It was scheduled for 2 PM the next day, June 20th. However, she called me at two thirty the same day (June 19th) and asked if their man could come in a hour or so at four. The same man, that came the day before, arrived on the dot at four. He assured me that the replacement shingles were the same as the those on the roof, showed me the weather guard and gave me a signed contract (by J. Lopez). With cleanup (including nails) and loading the truck with the old shingles and debris, the job took exactly two hours. Before leaving, he told me if there was any problem after a rain or at any time, to call the office and they will take care of it promptly. At this point, I am impressed with the promptness and professionalism of this roofer. Also I believe the price for this repair was fair and competitive. Up to now, the work and was done without a hitch - a good experience. Since I must wait for some hard rain to be sure the leak is successfully repaired, I will update this review at a later time as to quality of the work.

The guy came out, put flashing in, and sealed it. There is no leaking yet. He came out when he said he was going to be here. It was amazing.

They began work the same week we called them and were completely finished in one day. There were absolutely no problems.

A leak had developed below a dormer this spring evidenced by water stains in a ceiling. After about an hour of heavy rain this weekend I could see that quite a bit of water was coming through. I called J Lopez roofing about 8 Monday morning. Mr. Lopez arrived about 10. He checked the flashing around the dormer and said it was entirely missing below the dormer. This did not totally surprise me as I had to deal with leaks around another dormer caused by shoddy work last year. Mr. Lopez gave an estimate and was able to do the repair that afternoon for what I feel was a reasonable price. After a half inch of rain Tuesday PM and another 1.3 inches of heavy rain Wednesday afternoon no sign of the leak. Two thumbs up for J. Lopez roofing!

The overall experience was great. Lina who works in their office is a pleasure to work with. I got 3 quotes to replace my roof from three Angies List roofing companies. All three companies were responsive and professional. I went with J Lopez because they had the lowest quote by a small amount, but also could do the job this week. They committed to showing up at 8:30 AM on Monday morning and were there right on time. They finished the entire job in one day and did a good job of cleaning up. They even fixed a loose piece of vinyl siding that we asked them to take care of since they had extension ladders that would reach. They are friendly, professional, and responsive and I would recommend J Lopez Roofing to other Angies List Members.

We called them and someone came out the next to take a look at the roof. He told me what he thought it needed. He said that we did not need a completely new roof but the section of the roof where the leak was occuring needed to be repaired. Someone had tried to patch it before and it was not working. At one point, I could not understand the item that the roofer was trying to describe to me, so he got one out of his truck so that I could see what he was talking about. He told me that he would get back to me on that date with a quote. By the end of the day, we heard from them. They gave us an excellent price. When our insurance adjuster came by to take a look at the roof, she even commented on how good the price was to repair the roof. The original day that they had planned to fix the roof was rainy so they moved us back one week. They showed up early that morning and by late afternoon, they had pulled the old roof off, put a new one on and cleaned the work area. We were very satisfied with the work and price. We will use them again for any roofing needs.

Mr. Lopez came to the house on Tuesday 10/18 to examine the roof and take measurements for an estimate; there was no specific appointment time, but we had already planned to be at home that day. He was quite knowledgeable and he also clearly identified the improper installation issues which caused our old ridge vent to leak, damaging some of the plywood on either side of the ridge vent. He provided samples for us to keep of the different shingle types we could choose from and answered all of our questions. His office called back later that day with estimates for two different shingle options, and also sent us copies of both estimates. The estimated cost including the 30 year shingle option was $3660, plus the cost of plywood replacement. We selected this company over one other based partly on price and partly on availability -- J. Lopez Roofing was significantly cheaper and could do the work much sooner. We also wanted our gutters replaced, but this company doesn't do gutters, so we're having that done separately. However this was only part of the price difference between the two estimates. The work was scheduled to be performed Thursday 10/27, in one day. This was delayed one day until 10/28, but office staff were very good about communicating with us. Weather on 10/27 was good but weather on 10/28 prevented the work from being completed in just one day. The unfinished portion of the roof was covered overnight (there was light rain) and two workmen came out on Saturday 10/29 and finished the job in about 1.5 hours. However the workmen on site were unaware that the job was supposed to include removing the old, damaged wooden moulding along the roof edges at either end of the house and replacing it with a metal covering. They passed this along to the office and we received a call Monday morning (10/31) to say that portion of the work would be completed the next day, which it was. Cleanup of trash from the yard was good and workmen used magnets to clean up loose nails, although loose nails were left on the roof. Having never replaced a roof before I was surprised to see newly installed shingles sticking up when work was completed. Weather on the day of installation was cold and overcast, and the installers assured us that sun exposure and warm weather would cause the shingles to lay flat (cold temperatures make shingles hard and brittle). Temperatures have stayed low but we have had some sun on the south side of the house, and as of 11/04 the shingles do seem to be slowly flattening out, especially on the south side, and the roof is looking much better on that side. Assuming the remaining shingles lay flat with continued sun exposure or warmer weather I will be very pleased with the completed work.

I called on Tuesday afternoon. The roofer came out Wednesday morning and identified the source of the leak within five minutes. He had it fixed soon after and the charge was very reasonable. I won't hesitate to call J Lopez Roofing again the next time a problem pops up. I wish more service providers were as professional.

Arrived on time. Diagnosed the problem and resolved it at a very reasonable price. Would use this contractor again with no reservation.

It only took him about 10 minutes to do the job. He came when he said he would. I don't know about the price because we've never had any roof work done. They said they would be out at 3 pm and at 3 pm they were out. It was a small job and we were grateful that somebody came out right away.

They were a good company. Their people do not speak English pretty well and I do not speak Spanish very well. The techs who came by to give the bid were pretty bad in English. Their estimate was $250 for the work.

We had to replace the roof on our house and not only did J Lopez come in with a decent price, they took off, and replaced our entire roof in one day. Must have been 12+ folks working on just our house and they had it knocked off in 1 day. Bonded, Licensed, Insured, best prices, great work. No complaints and would use again.

They were great! Lena in the office was very helpful and professional. They came out to give me an estimate despite the bad weather we had that day. They came back 2 days later as they said [after the ice had melted off the roof] . As far as I can tell [after inspecting with binoculars] the repairs seem to be well done and seamless. This is a company that truly values your business and I would highly recommend them. Their workers were also very courteous.

The office estimated the work would take an hour or two. But the men worked steadily much longer than that. Clean-up was complete. They were friendly and efficient; I enjoyed our interaction. I have used this company before and if needed will call them again.

They were quick, neat, and professional. They were reasonably priced too. I wasn?t here when the work was done, but it all got done just right. We were very happy with their service.

He was a prompt, very professional nice guy, but we had already made a verbal agreement with another company. Mr. Flores himself came out, and he was very nice and straight forward. I do not know what made us decide not to go with them. If we had not committed to another company than we would have gone with this company.

Went fine. They showed up on time and did all the work well (left my gutter in place, unharmed), and cleaned up after themselves. They explained their estimate in advance (it was not the cheapest -- they gave me two -- but they explained why it was better). They also matched a competitor's estimate (I didn't like the interactions I had with their competitor Oxendine, when they came to do an estimate). There were some delays in working out the initial visit/estimate/billing, but I guess it's a positive that they weren't bugging me. Nice people, good work.

They started by taking off all of the old shingles and replaced some water damaged OSB sheathing that I wasn't aware of. They added a ridge vent and even replaced an old bathroom exhaust fan on the roof that had leaked once. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves and used a roller magnet to make sure all of the old roofing nails were picked up. The team started in the morning and were completely finished in one day. They were one of the least expensive quotes we got. (The cheapest wouldn't return phone calls after we asked for proof of insurance.) The job was done as quoted with no extra surprises. The house looks great. I would definately recommend them.
