I've used Intrex for most of my computer purchases and repairs for the past five years and I've never been disappointed. As usual, I dropped off the laptop and received a reasonable estimate of charges. Within a few days, they called and said the work had been completed and I could pick up the laptop at my convenience. The gentlemen that work there are always friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I can imagine that the service department sees a lot of crazy computer problems, but I've never seen even a hint that they're looking down their noses at their customers. I would highly recommend this company.

Everything went well, we were pleased with our new p/c. Jeff also told us about what we needed to "stream movies" from our new P/C to our TV, with the purchase of an HDMI cable and a wireless mouse, we can now watch movies from Netflix and have cancelled our more expensive satellite system. Overall, it was a good experience. We had a minor problem with the camera card reader, but Joe looked at it and fixed it within minutes. You feel as though you can ask them anything and they know what they are talking about. Very helpful! Thanks, Guys!!
Description of Work: Our old computer was slowly going down hill, so we went to Intrex and they built a new one for us, just as we wanted. Jeff asked us a lot of questions regarding how we use our p/c. Then he made a list of what would be put into our new unit and gave us an estimate of what that would cost. He made a copy of it and there was no pressure to purchase anything at that time. We took it home and thought about it, and then came back a while later to place our order. It only took about 3 days and we were back in business! Good service! If you need to ask a question, just call.

A good experience with a professional group! We feel that we can ask them any question and they answer it!
Description of Work: One of the salesmen at a nearby Big Box Store told us "to go over to the computer store" right across the way! We felt that The Big Box Store was limited in their knowledge of computers and at the Intrex store we were met with knowledge and a good degree of patience too. Jeff walked us through what a computer built for us would be, explained how it all worked, asked a lot of questions as to how we would use our p/c and then printed out a descriptive quote. No pressure to buy anything, just look it over, make a decision. As our monitor had gone out, we did purchase one from Intrex and thus began our relationship with the store. We went back a few weeks later and ordered our new p/c which they had ready in just a couple of days. The guys are helpful and professional. So far so good, we like our new system, it does what they said it would do. We did buy a 3-yr. repair plan, so we feel we are covered for parts and labor. A big thanks to the salesman over at the Big Box Store who lost our business, but he steered us in the right direction. We have also saved money by dropping our expensive sattelite service and opted for streaming movies at a fraction of the cost. Intrex has the HDMI cables and the wireless mouse to make this all happen. Thanks for all your help!

Toshiba laptop computer brought in due to constant "freezing up" of computer and pages "not responding". Remote access check by Norton Live suggested problem may be due to problems in the hard drive. Brought the computer in at 2pm on a Sunday. Staff checked computer's error log while I waited and then laptop froze up. Initial response was a hard drive problem. Received a phone call with a diagnostic response by 4pm. Hard drive was replaced and computer was ready to be picked up Monday morning. Staff were very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful.
Description of Work: Repair included diagnosis, drive installation, clone of hard drive, and new hard drive. Price seemed comparable but do not have any previous experience to go on.

When my HDD failed, the folks at Intrex (in Winston Salem) did everything possible to recover my files and data. Alas... The HDD would not even spin up. They installed a new 500GB HDD, and reloaded the OS. While they were at it, I had them upgrade the OS from Windows Vista to Windows 7. They were very professional and did a great job. The fact that the files were not recoverable was not their fault. However, they did give me contact information for a company in CA that does essentially does forensics and highly technical drive data recovery. This is something that is quite costly and really only justifiable for absolutely critical irreplaceable documents.Overall... it was a pleasure working with Intrex. They are quite capable and their work is competitively priced.
Description of Work: Hard Drive Failure on my desktop PC. Services included: Diagnosis, Attempted file recovery, New HDD install, and Re-image PC.

Excellent phone, on the floor and service department customer support. If I can't get my new computer built myself, I will take it in there and have INTREX build it for me..I trust them.
Description of Work: I called INTREX on Hornady Road and asked if they could test a computer power supply. Jeff said yes and that there would be no charge just for testing it. I drove over and went to the service desk where Darin pulled out his test equipment and performed the testing while I waited. The power supply tested "suspicious" and he explain how I went about getting my RMA from the manufacturer.
