He told me to buy a new faucet rather than having him fix it, he wouldn't let me pay him any money. He was real nice. He worked me in right before Christmas, he looked at everything and I made an appointment for him to come back. I bought the facuet and my husband ended up putting it in so I didn't end up using him again. He wouldn't take any money, he was real nice.

Guy was incredible. He was punctual and very knowledgable. He has a bright personality and will explain things to you in a way you will understand.

I really enjoyed dealing with Guy since he is the plumber. I needed to have sheetrock work done after the repair and he referred me to an excellent sheet rock person.

I found the plumber, Guy Harty, on the Angie's List website. I called the week before and made an appt for him to evaluate a flush noise in our downstairs toilet and also to look at a pvc pipe attached to the water heater that vibrated periodically. We discussed the problem and he gave me a phone number to call to get a new flush valve for our Toto toilet mailed directly to our house. I received the part by mail about 4 days later - no charge! I called Guy back on Monday to let him know the part had arrived and made an appt for him to come back the same week on Wed. In addition, to the toilet and pipe problems, I asked him to bring and install a water filter at the same time. He arrived on schedule with an assistant. While here he replaced the fill valve, replaced 2 sections of PVC pipe attached to the water heater with copper, added more fasteners to the studs in the basement where the horizontal PVC pipes were visible, installed the water filter, and removed an old porcelin sink in the basement. Guy and his assistant were here for about 2 - 2.5 hrs. Both individuals were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to use Guy Harty Plumbing again or to highly recommend him to a friend, neighbor, or another Angie's List subscriber. Good plumbers are hard to come by so I hope we will be able to utilize his services for years to come!

Punctual, efficient, honest, and professional. Original repair estimate was $700 based upon having to replace a pump. Upon examination, found pump was OK and system needed only a backflow preventer valve. He could have easily replaced the pump and charged me $700, but he was honest and found there was no need to replace the pump, saving me over $500 in potential repair costs.

I called Guy Harty Plumbing and he came out the same day. He told me that the faucet was fine and that I didn't have anything to worry about. Guy was very knowledgeable and helpful. He didn't even charge me for the service call. I'll definitely call again if I have other plumbing concerns.

It was very positive. I called his number late on a thursday afternoon and left a message. He called me back within 5 minutes. I described the problem and he was able to schedule an appointment for 8:00 monday morning. He called at 7:30 monday morning to confirm was still convenient. He arrived right at 8:00. He fixed the problem in less than an hour. He explained what he did and showed me how to adjust the pressure if I needed to. This was my first experience with Angie's and I couldn't be more pleased.

This was extremely satisfactory. He helped me obtain parts which were still under warrenty for a toilet, installed them when he said he would, no fuss or problems. Carried out a second service, finding a way to install a new, taller pipe for a shower head. Always communicated, kept in touch, reasonable pricing, fair. Everything works very well. Guy not only made room in his busy schedule to work me in early, he showed up early to start the job! This was a challenging situation because my water heater is in a particularly inconvenient location, requiring some finagling to get the old one out and the new one in. Not only did Guy get all this done without help, he was a total professional about it. He gave me very good advice on drain maintenance for the future, as well. He is now officially "my plumber," and I cannot recommend him enough.

Boy, I LOVE Angie's List. I looked up a highly-rated plumber, and sure enough, he was great. Called back immediately, scheduled me promptly, showed up on time, explained what he needed to do, and finished the work quickly and under his original estimate. Was friendly and professional. And, by the way, he replaced BOTH faucets for $100 LESS than my last, non-Angie's List, plumber charged me to replace ONE faucet (and notice I'm having to replace that faucet again).

Guy was great. He finished on budget and early. There was no disruption to the house and he cleaned up everything.

Guy is very knowledgeable concerning plumbing issues in old houses. The work he did for me was to plumb a new addition and tie it in to the existing plumbing system. The installation was more complex than normal because of the differing floor heights between the new addition and the original structure. These differences required installing a sewage ejector and major changes to the existing structure's supply and drain piping. Guy did a very professional job for a fair price considering the amount of work he had to do. He was easy to work with and I would not hesitate to use him again.

Guy was able to come out on the day and time requested. He examined the washer and lines and determined that the lines had been hooked up wrong. I had had another plumber come out previous to Guy to fix a leak in the cold water line. The previous plumber fixed the leak and then hooked the hoses up the wrong lines. Guy switched them back for me and told me that it was a pretty simple solution. I am glad that I called him as I did not have the tools to switch the lines back myself. He also asked me about the washer hoses and who decided to use the ones that were used. He recommended some other things that I could to maintain my home and gave me references on someone to do the work. I really appreciated his work and suggestions.
