Description of Work: Continuously late. Broke gas line b/c they did not call Piedmont Nat'l Gas. I had to pay for that b/c they left town. Their materials provider showed up at my house trying to get ME to pay for the materials Daniel bought to do my job that I had already paid him for. Daniel kept the money & never paid the provider. He then poured a concrete sidewalk OVER my existing one after billing me for removal of the old one. When we called him out on it & told him to dig it up & do it right, he disappeared & never returned any of our phone calls. We took him to court for the $5,000 we paid him & won. But nobody can find him to collect the money. In the meantime, it will cost me an add'l $5 to $7K that I DON'T have (b/c Daniel does) to fix my retaining wall, front yard, side yard, driveway & sidewalk.

+ -1 moreMr. Solomon came to quote our job in January of 2014. He seemed knowledgeable, friendly and we knew he had done satisfactory work for someone we knew. He quoted us a price of $6000. for the complete job, and then requested a $4000. deposit and we gave it to him. He and a crew of 2 showed up the next two days, grading, knocking down trees, shrubs into large piles and started building forms for the concrete. He then called and said his bobcat had mechanical trouble and asked if we would do him a favor and advance him another $500.00 of the job so he could get that fixed. This, of course, should have sent up a red flag to us about him since he already had $4000.00 of our money and knew he hadn't done anywhere near $4000. worth of work yet.... but we like trusting people and we gave him the extra money. Also in the meantime, there was an extremely damaging ice storm in the area, and he go swept up into a lot of tree removal in High Point. The mess left in our yard was so bad, the City of Kernersville knocked on my door and asked when it was going to be cleaned up. Finally in April (3 months later), two guys showed up and worked for part of one day, building more forms down the drive. Upon inspection after they left, we realized they had built the forms at 8' width instead of the contracted 10' width. We called Mr. Solomon and received a reply by text that he would have it corrected. Since then, we have not been able to contact him in any way, shape or form. His telephone mailbox is full; no texts are answered; we rode to the address listed on the contract and could not find him. It has now been 7 months since we hired him. Just this week, we hired our regular yard service to clean up the landscaping mess he made costing us additional money, and now, we will be having to hire a new concrete service to finish the drive. Please beware of Daniel's Bobcat & Concrete Service!!!
Description of Work: He contracted Mr. Solomon to pave a parking pad, driveway and to clear and landscape an overgrown natural area.

+ -1 moreHe didn't put any expansion joints or relief cracks. He ran out of concrete and didn't get the job done. He didn't remove the old concrete either.
Description of Work: He poured new concrete. The work has not been completed and was done poorly.
