Built-Rite Well Drilling Co

I’ve waited 2 months since my experience to write this review, as I wanted to reflect and be as objective as possible. My wife & I were looking for a well service to drill a new well at a location meant for a new RV park. We ultimately decided to go with built rite well, mostly communicating with office staff, Susan, through email . We agreed with the price of approximately $10K up to 300 ft. We signed a contract and even received an estimate for built rite well to add 12 water spickets for each future RV site. We waited 4 months, the week our well was due to be drilled we received a call from Troy stating that he was changing the price because he was “unaware” it was meant for a business vs a home. He was extremely rude and mocking. We ultimately decided to cancel the contract because we couldn’t trust he’d honor what was already contracted as we were extremely transparent from the beginning. Susan was friendly and saved this review from being a 1 star .

We hired this company several months ago and even though one guy was nice at the beginning, the other guy is a complete jerk. After being told they would come a certain week, it was the end of the week and we hadn’t heard anything. When I called, he laughed at me and proceeded to tell me “I just don’t know, it could be a few weeks but I don’t know”. This was a new construction just waiting on the well at this point so I didn’t have a few weeks to wait- especially considering we have first contacted them months before. I was so taken back by his demeanor and condescending attitude that all I could say was “um okay?”. The response I got was “okay, bye” then he hung up on me. After telling the owner that we would find someone else, he didn’t seem to care. I guess business is so good, that my business didn’t matter.

It all went well.

Called and left message and Brian called me back within a couple of hours. He showed up the next morning and quickly determined I had a broken wire in the well leading to the pump. They pulled the submerged pump (about 400 ft) checked all the wiring and repaired the broken section. They shocked chlorinated the well to ensure no bacteria would be in the sytem prior to leaving. Very professional and curtious will definitely recommend to others.

Like I said, water back today. Will get together with them to discuss what can be done to try to prevent future problems. This company is the best in the business. I highly recommend them. They are honest, fair and care about their customers. What more can you ask for in any company?

After I made several attempts to call Jones Well and Plumbing without success, I called a couple of other places. These places provided me with a higher estimate and I would have to get the permit from Guilford County to have the well installed. I then found Built-Rite and gave them a call. They made contact with them within a couple of days and they provided me with a better estimate which included them getting the permit from Guilford County. I signed the contract on June 3. Guilford County processed the documents and Built Rite contacted me around June 10. I met them at the house. But due to the storms, they brought out their equipment and set it up on Friday June 17. They began and finished drilling on Monday. Brian, the drilling tech, supplied me with an electrician who came out on Tuesday to connect everything. The experience from beginning to end was so courteous, polite and professional. Brian took that extra mile to ensure plumbing was complete and provided me with an electrician. He completed the project and made sure everything was secured. I especially appreciate his willingness to assist me, because I am from out of town and he accommodated me to make my visit easier.
