For the most part, I was pleased with his work. Cosmetic wise it looked ok, but then I discovered problems. In the beginning, I told him I had a problem with my ceiling. This was due to a leak coming from the upstairs shower. But in the end, he did not properly accomplish fixing this. Per the original contract, he was to perform all functions related to repair of the ceiling in my living room. He needed to put sheet rock on the ceiling of the living room for stabilization, and then paint over it. Instead, he just painted over the ceiling without adding the sheet rock. When I came back to do the inspection, I asked him if he repaired the ceiling, he said "Yes". It wasn't until I had a new tenant move in a week later, that I found out that there was a hollow place in the bedroom floor that is right above the living room ceiling. Tenant was afraid to walk over area, thought that maybe they would fall through, and it felt dangerous. My cousin (who was overseeing the projects while I was out of town) called Adrian, and explained the situation to him after she knew that I was unhappy. He would not respond to any of my calls, but he would vaguely communicate with her. He stated to my cousin, "it would be another $200 to fix repair". He would never return my calls, as I was the one that hired him, and paid him. I finally texted him to share my concerns about the ceiling, and asked if he could come back over and fix the ceiling since that it was in his original outlined deal ? stating that complete ceiling repair was included in the final total cost of the project. My cousin was finally able to reach him by phone, telling him that I was going to leave negative feedback if he didn't do the right thing and fix our repair and request. He responded to her by saying, "Do what you have to do, because I have no intentions of coming back over". Since then, I have spoken to a plumber. He said that the leak needs to be stopped first; then wood and sheet rock is going to have to be added first on the ceiling, and then finally paint over. The leak, wood, and sheet rock was neglected during the orginal job. I now have to hire two more people to accomplish this fix. A plumber to stop the leak, and another person to apply the cosmetic updates to the faulty ceiling area.
