Description of Work: I contacted them to see what might be done to improve the function of my fireplace (gas logs). The last time I used it, the CO detector went off. Given that we are approaching the time of year when we really want to use it, I wanted it checked. I contacted the Fireplace guys and we spent some time on the phone. He suggested a couple of things to try. If those things don't work, I will call upon them for service.

+ -1 moreMy experience with this company was excellent. They arrived on time and were very professional. They took special care in the removal of the old equipment and installation of the new equipment. Originally I was going to purchase my insert from another company but they did not do the installation themselves. That company used The Fireplace Guys for their installations. After contacting The Fireplace Guys they were quick to evaluate my needs and give me an estimate. I was hoping for a turnkey purchase, removal and installation and they were able to provide that service which provided the opportunity to only deal with one supplier and still purchase a high quality insert. I especially liked the fact that they contacted the local gas provider and gave proper directions on how to set up a new account. They worked close with the county inspector and gas provider to get the permits obtained, inspection scheduled and was present during the final testing of both the gas tank installation and first lighting of the stove. This entire project went far better than I could have expected largely in part to Dennis and Doug Sawyer, owners of this company. I would highly recommend their company to anyone needing fireplace type of work to be performed.
Description of Work: This company replaced an existing wood stove insert with a gas log insert. Installed necessary gas lines, obtained required permits and coordinated county inspection of finished work. Also installed a chimney cap and CO detector. Disposed of the old wood stove insert. To finish the project they coordinated delivery of gas tank with local supplier and was present during the installation of their work.
