During closing of purchase of home. Upstairs AC unit stopped working. Since we were in process of closing on the home, seller contacted Dyanmic who had been servicing the unit and who I believe installed the furnace and air handler as their company name is on the unit. Dynamic worked on the unit and said the evaporator coil had to be replaced. Details were handled by seller and Dynamic. After the Evaporator Coil was replaced and the unit was serviced at a cost of approximately $475. After the work was completed, I called Dynamic two times to tell them the unit still did not seem like it was keeping the upstairs cool and that the humidity levels were high. They did add more refrigerant and said the unit was fine. Upon switching the unit over from heat to cool on 3/10/16, the unit was blowing hot air and would not cool. I contacted Barber Heating and Air as I was not confident Dynamic had serviced properly and when the unit was checked the technician noted all the refrigerant had leaked out of the unit and the unit had multiple leaks. The technician also noticed the unit had not been serviced and both units looked like they had not been serviced in quite some time - even though Dynamic stated they serviced at time of repair in June 2015. The evaporator coil was not good and had to replaced again at an expense to me. I did contact Dynamic to get a quote for doing the same work and Barber ( who has a great review on Angie's List and in our community) to quote. Barber was more cost effective and has repaired the unit to our satisfaction. I do not recommend Dynamic to work on HVAC equipment.

Response from Dynamic Mechanical Service LLC
We didn't replace the Evaporator Coil for the original Homeowner. We replaced the Thermal Expansion Valve inside the Evaporator Coil as that was the Failed Part at the time of our Diagnosis. Per the original Homeowner we serviced the Downstairs Unit only at the time of Repair. Apparently later on the Evaporator Coil started leaking Refrigerant after Mr Moore moved in. We never came back and added Refrigerant and "called it good". Anytime we add Refrigerant we always offer a leak search and Explain to the customer that the Refrigerant will leak back out. We were not contacted about this issue with a Refrigerant Leak. So with that being said the Coil was Only replaced one time by Barber Heating and Air. Mr Moore has provided very inaccurate details of the events surrounding his issue.

Description of Work: HVAC contractor was dispatched by Burlington Rentals to rental home for annual inspection and cleaning of gas furnace and gas logs. Dynamic sent a very knowledgeable, professional and personable fellow. He not only thoroughly cleaned the gas furnace and gas logs, he cleaned the outside condenser unit. Was on the job about two hours. We were very pleased with his work and the fact that he took the time to explain the operation of each unit to us in detail.

They were very professional. I worked with Ryan who came out to do the estimate. Every aspect of the project was great. The rate was good, the workers were very friendly and easy to work with and they sent an inspector out at the end to make sure it was installed correctly. I especially appreciated the workers kind demeanor with my mother.
Description of Work: They installed a new Trane heat pump at my mother's home.

I contracted with the owner of this business, Ryan Mays, to perform HVAC tuneups and plumbing work at my residence. The contract was with a separate company of Mr Mays called Triangle Service Pros. Further, Mr Mays recently took this company out of business. He now operates a separate company called Dynamic Mechanical Service in the Burlington NC area. I entered a one year contract with Mr Mays to perform HVAC tuneups in the fall of 2011 and the spring of 2012 and paid him $300. Mr Mays did not fulfill the spring HVAC tuneup in this contract before taking Triangle Service Pros out of business. Additionally, Mr Mays company (Triangle Service Pros) performed plumbing work at my residence in February 2012. At the end of the job, the price billed (approx. $1100) was well above what was expected. Mr Mays did not supply a written estimate and I failed to ask for one. This was my mistake as I would later find out. After the work was done, I received quotes from two additional plumbers who both quoted a price $200-$300 less than the price paid to Mr May's company. When asked, Mr Mays was defensive and said I was just looking for something to complain about and that I should be grateful he gave up his weekend to do the work. I would never do business with Mr Mays, Dynamic Mechanical Service, Triangle Service Pros or any company he operates. This whole scenario is set against a backdrop of Mr Mays being unresponsive to emails and failing to respond in a timely manner to all questions or concerns. The ultimate finish to this story, however, is that we continue to have a leak in the plumbing and they have failed to even come out and take a look at.
