Description of Work: Paid $129.00 for a steel door and frame from Lowes. Paid $229.00 for installation. Door/frame and installation were paid in late January. Installer said he would install on February 29th. Since door was between our garage into our home and sub-freezing temperatures were occuring already and worse conditions were forecast, I considered this an emergency. I called Lowes coporate offices for help and got nothing from them at all. With temperatures about to plummet into single digits I finally found a contractor who quoted me $180.00 to install my already paid for door the next day.

+ -1 moreThe people they sent out did not understand English. They were efficient, but worked too fast and made too many mistakes. I chose them because they were supposed to have a good reputation, but I'm not sure if that's true or not anymore. I did not notice until later, but they threw shingles off the roof and ruined screens on the windows. They also put a hole in my siding with a hammer. The tar they dropped also left stains on my vinyl siding. Nails were left around the yard. The drip cap they put were not in single strips, but smaller pieces. Some nails also got behind the siding when they were replacing the drip caps. I have reported leaks which they have come out to fix. For the money I paid however, I anticipate much better service. They only guarantee that it will not leak for a year, but for the price it should be longer.
Description of Work: They put a new roof on my house.

+ 0 moreThe contractors they sent tried to sell me a pyramid scheme and were very unprofessional. Lowe's had promised 6 month financing and said my 6 month was up before I had installing. They refused to extend it at the corporate level and told me the store would give me reimbursement for 3. Overall this ruined my summer and was very stressful. I also had extra expense to electrician each time to hook and I had to unhook stoves. The bottom line I thought Lowe's would be the best place since I am disabled and a widow to get trusted help. They failed miserably. I would not recommend them for any project.
Description of Work: I went to the help desk to remodeled kitchen appliance and countertop. The plan was done by 11 April 08 I was told it would take 3 weeks and I was planning to take a trip 14th of June. I thought I allowed extra time enough. First they brought me a white stove with a stainless steel stove that would not fit since I needed a drop stove and I Had ordered a stainless steel refrigerator. Next it was June before the first countertop came which had the sink cut out in the wrong place. To get a counter top by 4th of July when my whole family was to arrive I had to choose from a limited list. that was brought and installed along with different stove around the 30th June. When I walked into kitchen I knew this was wrong. The countertop didn't cover the cabinet as measured and exposed wood all around tops of cabinets and the stove was not the one I ordered again. They had done the wrong edge. This took managers coming to my house to see the damage to get them to correct. On 29th of September The final installation was completed correctly.
