We first worked w/ Jennifer and Raymond in July - August 2017 when we were preparing for a massive home renovation and had to completely move out of our home. We wanted to start fresh and they were able to help us downsize by approximately 70%. It was great to have extra $ from the sale to buy new furniture. The team was so respectful of our home during this process and the marketing drew a great turnout. When it came time to prepare to move back into the home we contacted Pure & Simple to help downsize a bit more, and sort and organize items that we wanted to bring back home. Mid packing I had a bit of a panic with what to keep versus let go. Jennifer spent several hours with me assisting with the packing and helping me prioritize what items we truly needed to keep. A second estate sale generated more $ and less "stuff" we have to deal with. Pure & Simple are more than professional organizers, they are friends.

I am an organized person (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). However, even the most organized person can use some extra help from time to time. After a family move, I unpacked the essentials, but (after an embarrassing number of months), found our garage, attic, bonus room and every other nook still filled with boxes of… stuff. Oh, so much stuff. Keeping up with our busy family schedule is a full-time job, so I simply didn’t have the time to go through all of these “extras” without disrupting the gentle balance of our household routine. In comes Jennifer. Ready for serious work in her black scrubs (emblazoned with the Pure & Simple logo), she bounced through my rooms examining all of our closets, drawers, baskets, and all other make-shift “storage” we had scattered. I’ll admit, I was initially shocked and embarrassed to have my flaws revealed to a professional (kind of like going to the dentist after not flossing for 3 years, not that I would know about that either), but Jennifer was not judgmental or condescending in any way. She was unflappable and just asked questions about our routine or how things were used, and then took copious notes on her clipboard. At the end of the consultation, we sat down and discussed priorities. Actually having room for (gasp!) a car in the garage was a big goal. Giving kids space to play in the playroom was another. Within a few days, Jennifer sent me a full report, detailing ideas for organizing the spaces and the estimated time and dollar amount to do it. I could pick and choose which rooms we did and in what order. Jennifer and I dove into the ugly reality that was my hoard. She helped me let go of things and was part organizer, part therapist as she helped me work through memorabilia and other sentimental items. She never pushed, but would ask the right questions to help me decide if things were worth holding onto. Most helpful of all was her experience with estate sales (Pure & Simple’s other business) as she could tell me if the family heirloom in my attic actually had value and could be sold/consigned or if it was ready to be donated to charity. Jennifer was very flexible and worked with me to ensure the new organized system would actually work with my family. She was the surprisingly realistic one who pointed out what would or wouldn’t be easy for the kids to maintain, as she’d learned from experience with other clients. I felt lighter and relieved after letting go of so much that was literally and figuratively weighing me down. Working with her was simply life changing and has made my home and family run much more efficiently. I periodically still call on Jennifer to help out with “touch ups” if thing start to get crazy again and she comes with new ideas and suggestions each time. If only I had that same relationship with my dentist…

It far exceeded our expectations. I was so stressed about how to empty our home, especially the attic, and how to sale/donate/consign large pieces of furniture before we began a "gut job" of our home. Jennifer and Raymond met with us several weeks ahead of time to explain the process, take an inventory of the contents of our home, and provide guidance on what would realistically sell. With 48 hours of our 1st meeting Jennifer emailed a proposal and called the same day to discuss. We selected a date for the estate sale and she provided detailed instructions on what we could do to prepare for the process. I was very anxious because I felt we had so much to get rid of. Jennifer and Raymond did an amazing job of marketing the sale, displaying the items within the home, and pricing items according to current market value. This is where the home owner/seller has to have faith. The owners of Pure & Simple know the market and understand what will sell and at what price. A quote from my husband "look at your opportunity with Jennifer as a chance to declutter and get rid of your stuff, I wish I had let her sell more!". There were several items we pulled at the last minute for sentimental reasons that are sitting in storage now and if we had to do it all over again I would have left them in the sale. We are looking forward to working with Jennifer as an organization expert once the renovation is over so we never let ourselves get so clutter and junky again. I would recommend Pure and Simple to anyone downsizing or looking to start fresh. We plan to shop her estate sales once we are ready to purchase a few new pieces.

Jennifer of Pure & Simple was very prompt, professional, while friendly and helpful. She was very good with helping me get organized for an upcoming move, helping me go through old boxes of things and deciding what to purge/keep/donate. Also helped me organize packed boxes for a long-distance move and separate them into a move to the storage unit vs. house. Pricing was higher than another organizing company, including higher hourly rate and charged a travel fee and disposal fee. Despite this, she was extremely helpful and I would definitely use again! Wish I had found these services earlier and gotten better organized prior to moving. Highly recommend Pure & Simple!

I hired Pure and Simple Organizing to help with time management and setting up a home office. Before Jennifer helped me, my dedicated space for managing the household and my freelance writing work was basically a squat in our sunroom. She helped me prioritize my goals and purge the things that were creating obstacles to my productivity. Then, she helped me create an office plan that incorporated space for my children so that I could focus on my work without being constantly pulled away. My new office, which I LOVE, has smart storage organized by task and is a highly functional and fun workspace for me and my girls. Jennifer will not only help you organize your space, she'll teach you organizing skills, which makes the money that you spend to hire her go farther than you could imagine. In terms of professionalism, she arrived on time for every appointment, provided me with hard and electronic copies of all invoices and documentation, and was responsive via phone and email. My mother had a traumatic situation 8 years ago that led to shopping as a coping mechanism. The shopping was followed by hoarding. On top of that, we found out she had been dealing with dementia, isolating herself so as not to lose her independence. Being fiercely independent and proud of her treasures, we knew it was going to be a delicate exercise to organize her home so it was safe to occupy. Jennifer was a godsend. She coordinated every aspect of the 3-week job - from on-site dumpster rental, to temporary storage buildings, to dependable assistants. Jennifer and her team worked tirelessly to clear every room in that house - all the while treating valuables with care. Her team was very professional and did not and quot;judgeand quot; my mother for what was obviously an emotional issue. We all worked together to fill 4 temporary storage buildings, with plans to and quot;reloadand quot; the home in an organized manner and donate a good bit to charity. It is now 6 months later and I'm proud to report that the storage buildings were removed from the property this week. My mother has been living in her home since January 25th and we're all enjoying happy times again. I cannot thank Jennifer and her team enough for their role in giving my mother back her life.

Jennifer was a pleasure to work with and this ended up being a great experience. If is often very difficult to open your closets, cabinets and drawers to a stranger, but Jennifer was extremely non-judgmental and professional. She came to my home, sat down with me and helped me to outline my goals for organization. A few days later, she produced a plan of action and timeline. We spent a full day each on the home office, my bedroom closet, the pantry and then all of the kitchen cabinets. She gave me great ideas and a shopping list for storage items and containers that would work best with my lifestyle. The whole organization project was completed within our alloted timeframe. In addition to what we worked on together, Jennifer gave me the tools to finish less important areas of the house on my own. I would highly recommend Jennifer Burnham and Pure and Simple Organizing to anyone who lets their lack of organization control their lives. Sometimes I ended up buying duplicates of items due to the fact that I could not find anything. It was indeed a life-changing experience for me.

If you want to have some fun cleaning out stuff, then hire Jennifer. She is wonderful - young, full of energy and full of great ideas. What I especially liked is her approach to keep, donate (recycle), and sell. Each day she was and quot;out the doorand quot; with the things we decided needed to find a home elsewhere. You really feel like you've accomplished something everyday. Even better, the she takes the items to donote (so they don't sit in your car/house for weeks) and brings back the receipts. Even better she sell things for you on consignmnent. No fuss, no muss. She responded quickly to my request, was professional, prompt, accurate in her estimate, and quite frankly a joy to work with. So glad I found her. Plan to use her again, when I'm ready to really tackle the next area.
Description of Work: Jennifer came to help me clean out several rooms that were in desperate need for organization. 1.) My home office/real office 2.) my storage room (packed to the gills). It took several days (three to be exact). We worked side-by-side and cleaned out everything.
