Poor communication. I was never told that the business was sold in 2010. I assumed that the guy working on my lawn was the same man that I hired in 2006-2007. Now there is a court battle. I want no part of it.

Chance was charming, and we (the Board of Directors) were very hopeful that his company would be able to rehabilitate our ailing common area turf. We ended up having to fire him after a few months for a few reasons. He didn't get along well with our management company. His crew was routinely mowing over trash instead of picking it up before mowing. We have one common area trash can in the mail room that we asked him to have emptied weekly. He initially agreed to do it, but his crew would never empty it. He then advised us that he wasn't obligated to empty it because it wasn't in the contract. He didn't know how to work the irrigation system; he only attempted to use the system twice; both times it ended up flooding the yard of one of our buildings, and both times I had to get up early on a Saturday morning to manually shut off the main irrigation water valve. Instead of using trimmers in many places, such as around gas meters, his crew sprayed Round Up, leaving unsightly circles of tall, dead grass around each meter. He was very bitter when we had to let him go, but he should not have been surprised.

This was a crew of two guys and they finished it all in one day and that was three weeks ago and we can see grass coming up already. They were very professional and punctual.
