Description of Work: Very knowledgeable, thorough, honest and professional. Willingly answered all my questions about gas logs, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc. I definitely recommend this company!

Description of Work: They did a thorough cleaning of our 26-ft dryer vent, much more thorough than the usual service from other dryer vent companies. He also gave us a complimentary review of our fire safety systems, from the garage to the attic.

Description of Work: They inspected my fireplace and chimney to make sure it was safe to have a fire, and it was good to go. Very professional and polite. Would definitely use them again!

Description of Work: John introduced himself. Then he explained each component of the inspection. We discussed all of the problems he encountered. I then made some decisions, and he started to work. He carefully protected the rug from any dirt and installed two fire alarms--one of the alarms also has a carbon monoxide detector. He left manuals for each of the alarms and the fire extinguisher. John was competent, friendly, polite, and used his time efficiently. I intend to pass along his business card to others in order to praise him for his excellent and vital service.

Description of Work: Determined that the dryer vent was clogged and, in fact, was so old it was not up to current code. Steve B. did a great job explaining what needed to be done and replacing the vent. He made sure everything worked and went above and beyond the call of duty on a day/evening that the weather was getting progressively worse. I will definitely use Smoke Alert again in the future.

Description of Work: $149 to clean the chimney (Angie's List special) and he replaced the dryer vent with hard steel duct (awesome and safer and better airflow) for about $350. Looked at our old fire extinguisher - it was incredibly old - he sold us a replacement - $20 - very reasonable.
