Safe Streets Usa Adt

I was initially quoted a 49.00 rate for installation. The tech showed up on time but told me the existing system had to be completely replaced (new home purchase) at the cost of 700. When I spoke to the sales office, they said they would issue me a 100.00 Visa card as compensation (arrived 2 months later). Meanwhile, I have been receiving offers in the mail continuously for the same ADT monitored system installation for FREE! The exact same equipment (and more)! What a rip off.

The system has never worked. The technician requested that we contact him directly if we have problems and he has been hard to contact, hard to schedule appointments, and has not shown up more than once for promised visits to repair. He did return once, said he fixed the system, but it had the same fault 12 hours later. I have tried repeatedly to get him to revisit, but he does not respond to voice messages. His company was contacted this morning, after not being available all weekend, and they can't get anyone out here to repair the problem before tomorrow, and I am not confident that anyone will show up then. I have requested that the three year monitoring contract be cancelled and they indicated that I would need to pay 75 percent of the total value of the contract to cancel, but they have never actually provided the service that the contract was supposed to provide, as the system cannot be armed for them to monitor.
