This company was sent out by American Home Shield due to issues with our hot water heater. I requested service on Monday due to no hot water and Pedro the technician came on Friday afternoon to assess the problem. He was here a total of 7 minutes. He entered the room where the water heater is located, took a few pictures and said “you need a new water heater because yours is disintegrated.” So I asked him how he was able to determine that a replacement was needed without actually checking the components or attempting to light the pilot? He responded “I don’t need to check it. That’s what you pay insurance for. I will put in the order now and it’ll probably be Tuesday or Wednesday before I can get a new one because of Covid.” So I asked him if we realized that we’ve have NO HOT WATER FOR A WEEK, we have two small children and he’s telling me that MAYBE he can come back in 5 or so days with a replacement. So I checked the work order section of the AHS website later that evening. NO WORK ORDER. Called PPCS and NO answer, left message, NO call back! Later I called their emergency service number, still no answer, left message. NO call back. On Saturday I checked again, STILL NO WORK ORDER! I then called and spoke to customer service where I was told it can take up to 24 hours for the technicians input to show in their system. Checked the website on Sunday, STILL NO WORK ORDER. So I called AHS again and the customer service rep gave me the same answer as the previous rep. Monday morning (a week no hot water), I checked the website again, STILL NO WORK ORDER! Complete frustrated, I called the PPCS and of course NO answer and NO call back. Once again I called AHS and told the representative there was STILL NO WORK ORDER showing in the system and I’d left numerous messages, sent an email and the company was unresponsive. He then called the company and was able to speak to someone and said they would called me within 4 hours. Those 4 hours came and went, STILL NO CALL BACK OR EMAIL. I once again called AHS and after 45 minutes of retelling the same story once again, the representative was not only able to make contact with PPCS but assured me they would be putting the work order information in the system. About an hour later, I received an email from AHS to contact them as there was an “ISSUE” with my warranty claim. Once again I contacted AHS and was told by the representative that my water heater issue would NOT be covered by the warranty. When I questioned why she said “because the technician states in their report that your water heater is in violation of city codes and ordinances.” This ABSOLUTELY OBSURD! The technician made NO mention of such and said he was planning to order a new one the same day. What a bunch of @$$holes. Just because I questioned their decision and was trying to prevent unnecessary work and expense to AHS they try to screw me by putting some BS information into the work order to prevent a replacement! I insisted that AHS send out another company for a second opinion to which they have agreed to do. Not only would am I giving this company -10 STARS, I am hoping by writing this review, others will avoid this company at all costs!!

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Three weeks & I still can't get them out to finish fixing the faucet. They have the part. They do not answer their phone nor do they call you back when you leave a message. DO NOT USE even if they are the last company on earth.

Awful. From start to finish. First, the misdiagnosed an issue with my water heater and had me without hot water for weeks telling me it was an electrical problem when there were NO issues with the electric work. The real problem was an undiagnosed leak in the plumbing. Then when they were asked to fix the plumbing, the "professional" complained about the crawl space, used profanity, and walked away from the job without fixing it. Horrible on top of awful.

Company was responsive to my warranty call, and came out next day. Leaking lines under sink had soaked my cabinet. Tech diagnosed the leak as related to improper sink installation even though that was 6 month earlier and it only started leaking yesterday. Handles were corroded he said. That doesn't happen in one day or 6 mons. So warranty company denied claim and I said fix it anyway since I have secondary damage! Tech promised to go get parts and either he or someone else would come back same day. Called office to confirm and they told me they could not return same day but would come back tomorrow. When I asked for a time they told me it couldn't be tomorrow after all, but it would have to be 4 days from now. In the meantime I cannot tighten these handles enough to stop the leaks and the company has not fulfilled their promised to take care of this today. Would definitely NOT recommend.

This company stepped up when another plumber left me high and dry (actually wet, because we had a leak, but you get the idea). After fighting for a week with another company, this company showed up and did an EXCELLENT job at fixing a leaking pipe that was before my main water shut off. This company had to coordinate with my HOA plumber and the city of Raleigh for water shutoff and they did a fantastic job. They replaced my pressure regulator as well and had to repipe several areas behind my water heater, again doing a great job. Their staff are all extremely professional! I cannot recommend them enough!

Used due to contract with American Home Shield. Resolution of my plumbing problem took over a month due to incorrect info not being communicated to me concerning a mold problem having to be resolved prior to fixing the plumbing. The leak was fixed incorrectly and it took another 1-2 weeks to complete the job. They sent 3 different plumbers for the job on 3 separate occasions, and finally the last plumber actually fixed the problem.
Description of Work: had 2 leaks, one covered by AHS and one was not.

Contractor was provided by 'First American Home Buyers Protection' warranty, which charges you a monthly fee and a $65 Service call fee x call as in this case. -Service provided by contractors Steve and Phil. - First, diagnosed the problems and confirmed coverage with FAHB warranty. - Repaired the toilets replacing all parts needed. Initially one toilet required to cut the water pipe to attach a new shut off valve. - After making all repairs and cleaning up,?they left without checking correct functioning on first repaired toilet. - As they left I constantly was checking for any further leaks and found the first toilet still leaking from valve so had to call back to office with the intent of have them back quick to check and repair it again, - They office staff was very polite and assure they'll contact the technician right away and sen them back. - They promptly arrived again, and check the leak I had identified, having to do same job, cutting the pipe to attach a new water valve to it. After checking functioning and cleaning, they left. About the technicians:- both were very respectful, properly appointed and polite. Two improvement areas: - Cover shoes when inside the home. - Take the time to confirm proper functioning of repairs with the owner before leaving to avoid f/up issues. Overall Good, ??
