Horrible. They sent 2 unlicensed meth heads from Ohio to do the work who always showed up late and left early. What was supposed to be a 3 day service ended up taking over 2 months, with the meth heads quitting after a week. They didn't level the concrete beneath when they applied the flooring, so it was uneven and had to be done again. I can feel the floor moving underneath my feet.They did not paint the baseboards, like in all of their advertisements and on their website, instead opting to leave a spare leftover can of trim and door paint for me to do it myself. Dan steered me towards a supposedly good flooring option considering the fact that I have dogs. Pics are available to show how big of a lie that was. There are VERY visible spaces between the flooring in several places. Did not caulk spaces between flooring and quarter rounds, but they did leave 2 tubes of caulk for me to finish the job. The business comes up as black-owned in Google, however that is not the case. The white owner is just married to a black woman who he trots out to try to get their black customers to accept less than what is advertised. My home was better off before I allowed them to put their dishonest hands on it. Pictures are available to support every statement in this review.

This was the best experience I have ever had with contracting an in-home project. Dan Kester and his team of craftsmen did an excellent job prepping and installing my new floors. They were all professional, on-time, courteous. I recommend them with no reservation. If I need any future flooring, I will be going back to Dan and Floor Coverings International of Raleigh.

From start to finish working with Tammy Bliss was excellent. She was very skilled at assisting with the carpet and pad selection and was always on top of everything. She kept me informed with every step and the process could not have gone smoother.

I’ve waited for almost a year to post this review. But I think it’s time. The reason I chose this company was because of all the positives reviews but I have been very disappointed. The amount of $ paid for the low quality wood was ridiculous. Tammy did reach out and want to “make it right” but after the entire experience I had I just want to go through all of that again. The Armstrong engineered wood splintered in many places so bad in one spot that when I was repainting the baseboards (thats a whole other story) I had a small piece go into my leg. Some places have been “patched” by the team but you can clearly see that’s it’s been patched. I do understand that sometimes a product may not always be the best or up to a standard but my biggest disappointment was that I shouldn’t have had to bring this to the “experts” attention. This should have been noticed right away. When I look at the extra boards still in the box and turn the wood over, you can see the splintering. Additionally there are several nails that weren’t flush with the floor. For this “expert” team to not have noticed while installing along with not being recognized once the job was finished is where my disappointment lies. I should have never paid the amount of money I did and gone with someone cheaper at least I would have had my expectations set correctly. Additionally, Tammy was to get me a touch up product. I never did receive it. This company has a lot of good reviews and Tammy was very good to work with during the initial decision making process so maybe this experience can be chalked up to a one off but for me this was an awful one off.

We loved Tammy, her crew and our new floors! She was prompt and kept in communication with us the whole time. It’s great that the owner is the project manager so you’re only dealing with one person.

We made an appointment 4 days out and on a Saturday which was extremely convenient for us. We are planning on flooring our ~200 SQFT room. Tammy helped answer all of our questions and brought in samples of hardwood floors that match the color we were looking for and helped us pick which quality wood we would go with. We were provided a quote quickly during that meeting and we decided to go with CFI. Less than 2 weeks later they showed up and completed the floors in about 5 hours. They were extremely professional and respectful. Most importantly they did an awesome job and they cleaned up after themselves. Tammy followed up with us in a few days to give us time to make sure we were happy. This is nice because you are able to have a few days with your floors to make sure everything is to your expectation before settling up. Overall I would absolutely use CFI again and while the price point might be a little higher it does come with that extra quality, peace of mind and a company that operates on a customer first mindset.

Tammy showed us a number of possible options and took time help us pick the perfect hardwood and carpet materials for our job. Her prompt communication, knowledge of flooring materials and transparency in pricing discussions made us confident that FCI were the company we wanted to work with. We are truly delighted with the end result! - the quality of flooring and installation has exceeded all expectations. No pun intended it was a seamless process. The quality of the product was exactly as promised and the installation went even better than promised. Tammy knows her information on carpet. I learned more about carpet fibers and differences in durability for commercial carpet than I ever thought possible to know. She navigated us through the process with ease and professionalism. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This project was finished in 2017 and we haven't had any issues with the hardwoods. Tammy was responsive to our requests and her crew did excellent work. We had a great overall experience!

We are thrilled with Floor Coverings International of Raleigh! The owner, Tammy, did an exemplary job of walking me through our new flooring from start to finish -- visiting our home to help me choose the flooring, setting up the installation, being here when the installers came, keeping in constant contact throughout the installation, and FOLLOWING UP every step of the way. (The day after the installation, I noticed that I needed to have the refrigerator moved back just a few inches, so I called Tammy directly. She and her husband came out right away to make everything right!) Even after the project was fully completed, she encouraged me to call her with any questions or concerns. The installers were polite, professional and thorough. We have a very unique floor plan in our kitchen with lots of odd angles requiring special cuts -- they handled it all perfectly (and even with a smile). Throughout the entire journey, Tammy made what could have been a tough job VERY VERY EASY for me. (She is the consummate professional when it comes to both knowledge of the industry AND exemplary customer service.) We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen floor, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Tammy and FCI of Raleigh to anyone looking to have new flooring installed.

Tammy was professional, personable, and prompt! She put the extra effort the other companies did not offer while still maintaining a personal touch, plus she beat the price of the other 5 quotes we had already gotten! She came by on a time that worked best for us, took her time to explain all of our options after listening to what we were looking for. We decided to do the demo portion ourselves and them to put in the new material. During the demo process, she offered to come by and see how it was going and provide options to ensure the install date would not be pushed back at all. The day of install, even though the gentlemen that came to install the new material showed up on time, she was there with them to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted and to make sure I was comfortable with them before she left. The install was done in a professional and timely manner with no mess left behind. I would definitely hire Tammy again and will be recommending to all my neighbors, friends, and family!

Tammy discovered the underlying floor was good quality hardwood and came up with a new plan. Her crew was very professional and did a great job. I highly recommend them for both wood and carpet.

I was completely please with the new carpet installation. From the help that I got from the owner, Tammy Bliss, to the quality of the carpet and to the men that installed it. I was so pleased.

Required hardwood refinishing and new hardwood installation totaling about 2500 sq.ft. Work was highly professional, attentive to details and wonderful results--especially since the company expertly finished both red oak and white oak hardwood to match. Two weeks total from start to finish and the home was broom cleaned completely. Highly recommend their services!

It went well. The installers came when they said they would. The worked hard, despite the fact that my AC unit had died. Other contractors recommended engineered hardwood. Tammy noticed a key problem with using it in my house, something the others hadn't noticed. She made sure her installers handled that problem area well. I couldn't be happier!

We had a great experience with Tammy Bliss of Floor Coverings International. This was our second time purchasing services from her and company. She had a sample of the carpet we were interested in at a Home Show sent to our house so we could visualize how it would look. With the additional leftover carpet she offered to make us different area rugs, which we would have never thought of on our own. The install went without a hitch with very respectful and conscientious installers. We will definitely call her again with future flooring needs.

I could not ask for a better job. Installation went smoothly and crew came within a half hour of time promised. The owner, Tammy Bliss, called to notify us why crew was delayed (warehouse was relocated). Four man installation crew was professional, courteous and I was especially pleased workers were able to work around cable and internet set up in office room so I did not loose WiFi or internet. Crew came at 11:30 AM and was done by 4:30. All furniture was moved and put back in place where my wife and I wanted it with no damage. Crew also switched location of two pieces of furniture in the office as my wife wanted. In addition, unlike another experience we had with a company who installed hardwood flooring in the upper part of our home (the carpeted rooms are seven stairs down on the lower level) there was no language barrier as English, not Spanish was the primary language for all.
