Carolina Heat Cool

I had issues with my A/C unit, but couldn't find the original installer's information. Carolina Heat Cool was the original installer. Due to the high heat and living with my elderly mom, I called in another company because the house was too hot. They found a leak in the system and added more refrigerant to get it running again. They suggested I find the original installer and have them repair it since it was less than a year old, it would still be covered under warranty. After additional research, I was able to contact Carolina Heat Cool. They immediately told me the warranty had been voided due to the other company adding refrigerant to the system. I called the other company back again and had them come out to repair the unit. During the repair, they noted that the unit did not have the Teflon O-rings installed and that the TXV bulb was in the wrong position and was not insulated properly. The technician told me the installation was not done properly and not done to the manufacturer's specifications. When I called Carolina Heat Cool back again and gave them all this information, I spoke with Andy who told me he was the owner. He told me that this was a problem of the manufacturer and that I should take it up with the manufacturer (Lennox). Carolina Heat Cool refused to take responsibility for the poor installation and refused to help me with the repair costs. They did poor work in the original installation that led to costly repairs in less than a year. I reached out to the builder and gave them all this information. The builder agreed to reimburse me for half the cost. I am still out half the cost. I do not recommend Carolina Heat Cool - their work quality is poor and they will not stand by their work - bad quality, bad service - they just don't care!

Andy was very nice and professional. He explained the problem in terms I could understand, without talking down to me, and was very helpful. He cleaned the coil and filled and charged the coolant. He was very thorough and made sure everything was working just right and even gave me advice on how to prevent the problem in the future.

I dealt with Andy. I received his personal phone number and talked to him at 9:30 at night. He was over within the hour and sat under the house with me for over an hour replacing everything. I was extremely happy it was done that night because there was snow the next day. I'd highly recommend Carolina Heat Cool.

They showed up and looked at everyhing and found that my freon was low. Everything they did was excellent. It was done in about 30 minutes and I was good to go.

I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for this service in our area. They are quick to respond.
