Description of Work: Surface Specialists refinished a 1970 white, cast-iron, built-in tub in our home. Service was reasonably quick, very professional and overall results were excellent. Our tub now has many more years of service. We highly recommend this vendor.

+ -1 moreDo have any refinishing done last in the schedule of any repair or renovation project. Don't expect a refinish surface to be as sturdy as baked-on enamel or any other original factory surface. Do ask if there is a warrantee before the hire. Don't abuse the new surface, nor have a surface finished that will be used with hard tools (such as a kitchen or utility sink). Do ensure that your technician has electricity and very good lighting during the project. Don't allow any use, or even a nearby splatter of water, in the area for at least twenty four hours after the finishing. Do consider turning off the water to the area until the work is completely cured. Do let the technician know if you have any concerns and give them the opportunity to satisfy your expectations.
Description of Work: The cast iron enamel bathtub was refinished, including adding a textured surface to the central section that both aides in safety and hides the pitted original surface, to offer many more years of use and enjoyment of the matching era bathroom fixtures. The responsiveness and concern for quality was excellent.
