+ -1 morethe crew came to remove old unit without issue, replaced it with the new one and installed additional vents in a couple rooms. They used floor coverings so they did not drag dirt and nasty all over the place, and they took precautions to not damage anything existing, and clean up when they were finished. Definitely a great job, and we are very impressed with the timeframe they got everything done.

+ -1 morehighly recommend Nolan Air for all of your HVAC needs. We purchased a townhouse in March and we knew we needed to replace AC. The unit stopped in early June. Nolan talked us through getting it started, so we wouldn’t be without, until he could get equipment and install just a few days later. Nolan and his crew are professional, knowledgeable, neat and clean. They did an exceptional job installing our new heat pump and WiFi thermostat. The pricing was fair and competitive. If you need AC repair, tune-up or complete replacement of system, Nolan Air is the way to go!

Everything went smoothly and they saved me thousands of dollars by repairing my system instead of feeding me lines and trying to sell me a whole new system (which is what another local company tried to do). They gave me a good price on the repair, told me exactly what they were going to do, and there was no uncomfortable sales pitch. I would highly recommend them, they are now my go-to people for HVAC issues. They are the best quality and very reasonably priced- you won't find better for your money.
Description of Work: Ed replaced my compressor and cleaned up the A/C system after the compressor blew out.

+ -1 moreThey quickly isolated the issue which was my thermostat and gave my systems a thorough checkup and found it was low on freon, which he charged back up. I have noticed my heating bills climbing the past couple of years and I should have done this service earlier as it should lower my heating bills now that my system is functioning as it should. Small outfit where they are more concerned about maintaining your existing system than selling you a new one like the big companies do. Great local guys that will now come out twice a year to maintain my heating/cooling system.
Description of Work: One of my outside heat pump units was not working (fan not turning) and I wanted my system checked out since it's nearing 10 years old.

Both of Ed and his son are very professional, honest and easy to communicate. The price is also reasonable. I definitely will use their service in the future!

+ -1 moreThe blower motor had to be replaced. Nolan had one that was close, but he insisted on getting the exact replacement to ensure the system performed to spec. Next day it was replaced, on time, quickly, and with no hassle. Working great ever since.
Description of Work: I first met Nolan through my home warranty program and have requested them every time as my aging HVAC has had issues over the last few years. Ed always talks me through the problem first and has helped me avoid a service call on one occasion that way. This particular instance was another call through the warranty company after I first called Nolan to check availability. They were tied up and my AC was completely out, so I relied on the warranty company's choice. After no callback from their choice I contacted Nolan again to see if they'd be avail

+ -1 moreI actually started using Nolan H/C in the spring of 2012 shortly after purchasing my house and calling-in a home warranty claim. Initially, the insurance company sent me to another H/C company that told me they would get to me within a day or two. After 2 days of no follow-up, I called my ins company back and they gave me Nolan H/C. I called Nolan directly and confirmed their receipt of my service order. Ed came out that day and handled my problem. From then onward, when I had/have an issue, i request Nolan from the insurance company. The other 3 times I have used them they have been great!
Description of Work: I called Nolan H/C with a problem with my system. Ed's wife, was great about getting him out to me in a timely fashion. Ed was methodical in his assessment and provided me with a "real world" approach to fixing the system. In other words, he told me what must be fixed vs. what would be nice to fix. He even gave me a quick education on my system so I could trouble-shoot any future issues.

He relocated my exterior unit a few inches and removed some old boards that had been put under it and were drawing moisture. I am very pleased and so are all others I have referred to Nolan's.
Description of Work: I am under contract with Nolan's for two residential properties. This is a family business and Mr. Nolan really knows HVAC. Unlike the big companies, he will NOT try to sell you something you don't need and he WILL save you money. He is reliable and explains everything to you in a way you can really understand. I have complete confidence in him.Mr. Nolan repaired my system for approximately $135 when the big company in town told me that I needed to spend over $13,000 on two complete new systems. That was over a year ago and all is fine. Enough said!

+ -1 moreIn just a few minutes after arrival, Mr. Nolan had taken apart the air-handler unit in hour home and identified the damaged motor. He also indicated two minor problems with the initial install, by another contractor, and explained how they would / would not impact the performance of our unit. After determining the motor was indeed burned out, he replaced it with a brand new motor, and cleaned our existing blower wheel. The entire process took just about an hour, and Mr. Nolan waited to ensure the system was running properly before leaving. He was quick, courteous, and offered additional insight about my system at no additional cost. I would highly recommend his company to my friends and family without hesitation.
Description of Work: Mr. Nolan came out less than 24 hours after initial contact to diagnose, and replace the blower motor on our home's existing HVAC system.

+ -1 moreExcellent! Ed came out late in the evening, 6:30PM in the dark and cold and checked out the unit. Everything checked out normal, but Ed was not satisfied; he told me he would call the Carrier service desk tomorrow and check on a few things. The next day Ed called me on my cell to say that according to the Carrier company techs his tests showed everything was OK with my unit and the heavy icing was normal given the weather conditions we had (below freezing temps and blowing snow). Ed is a rare individual, he truely understands what customer service is!
Description of Work: I noticed my heat pump was completely iced and I was concerned it was not working correctly. I called Nolan's Heating and A/C, they had a full schedule but Ed called to say he could come by to check the system at 6:30PM if that was OK. He had put in a full day I am sure, but wanted to take care of his customer, I'm impressed! I knew Ed when he worked for another company and he was by far the best technician they had. When he was with the other company I could'nt be sure he would be the tech that came, even though I requested him. Now that he has his own company I am overjoyed, I am sure that my heating and cooling systems will be well maintained at a fair price. He is extremely knowledgable and will explain in detail, if you want, what is wrong and what he is doing. I have used many heating & A/C companies in 35 years and none has been more professional, knowledgable or courteous than Ed! I would highly recommend him.
