We used InsideOut Construction to remodel our existing screened porch as well as add a lower deck. Our previous screened porch consisted of a concrete slab and, being that our home is on a crawlspace foundation, we immediately had to walk down a set of stairs upon exiting our back door. This area was becoming dirty and nasty due to rain runoff from the yard and we no longer enjoyed sitting outside. InsideOut was able to build a deck floor that was level with our back door and rescreen the area. In addition, we added a lower level that we left uncovered to give additional outdoor seating and provide an area for grilling. Everything looks great and we are so happy that we decided to use InsideOut Construction! We love being able to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Would definitely recommend InsideOut to anyone looking to add a deck or remodel their existing one.

We found the entire experience working with Dennis Roberts and his team, specifically Brandon Roberts a positive experience. Brandon was the crew chief on our job and was there every day working as well as directing the work of others. Brandon and team paid attention to details and there work was very good. We have absolutely no complaints with their work. Their construction uses 6x6 posts instead of 4x4's which is not only structurally more sound but also more esthetically pleasing to the eye. Also, we found that when they did subcontract the work (painters, electricians) they used people that had been working with them for numerous years. The painter, for example, has been contracted by Inside Out for the past 10 years and brings high quality work to the table. The same can be said for their electrician. We were also having a new stone patio built during this time as well as some major landscaping. Brandon worked with the landscaper to schedule time, etc.. so that their work could be done in parallel. This was much appreciated as it shortened the timeframe for the entire job to be completed. We never had issues with lack of information, response to questions and changes (we made several changes while work was underway). Brandon was there every day and was fully accountable for the project. It's an advantage to have one go-to person on a project like this and Brandon was that person for us. The payment schedules were fair and acceptable. Their prices were comparable to others that we interviewed for the project and acceptable for what we received. We could have gone with a less expensive option using other companies but we felt like their work was above average and worth the extra costs. We are very happy with the outcome and would not hesitate to use Inside Out Construction again.

Overall everything went beautifully although there were some glitches. They were reasonably priced compared to other quotes that I had. So the price was one good thing. They had references and pictures of what they had done in the past. In the area and with our neighbors they had references. I am impressed and the quote was definitely helpful because I think it was on the low end compared to the other providers but he helped to redesign the deck. I originally had a deck that went full length of the house and I wanted to screen in a portion of it and had couple of challenges with the way the warehouse was built and he helped in resolving those problem, suggesting a design that would work. I didn’t go totally different than it was but he helped the way out something that was little better than I had. We ended up ceiling fans in the screen area which I hadn’t thought about. So he made suggestions and was able to accommodate what was wanted to screen in that area of our house and he was able to accomplish that in a beautiful way. I was very happy with the stuff. There was one problem, I think it was his family member getting into it and he left that person in charge and I think we were out of town for part of the time he was doing the work and the young man left our house uncovered and it rained. So I had some water damage in the house but when I figured out that it happened, he took care of it. He called someone in to take care of the damage. He called in a painter who painted the whole thing without any spots. Even in the whole bedroom even though it didn’t have any damage because he knew if he painted a part of it, it would look odd. So he called someone in who took care of it. He used a different contractor who was professional as well. He also did a beautiful job on the deck and I was very pleased. My husband sits out there all the time.

My porch looks gorgeous and was done very professionally. They were on time, worked in a timely manner and stayed within the estimate. They are excellent craftsmen.
